Making A Joyful Noise To God
Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 5th Edition, Day 1 - Making A Joyful Noise To God - Join us on Friday, November 5th, 2021 for the Night of Divine Encounter between 7pm to 10pm MST. Theme: The Siege Is Over
Let Us Make A Joyful Noise The Lord
Making a joyful noise is a commandment from God. The scripture says in Psalm 118:15 says, “Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous; “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”. When Samaria was besieged by Ben-hadad king of Aram by his army, God made them hear a sound and they fled as a result of that sound. What this means is that your sound can scare the enemy and your joyful noise can give you victory over your enemies.
To shout means to utter a loud call or cry, typically as an expression of a strong emotion or calling attention. Shout means to yell, cry, cry out, call, call out, roar, howl, bellow, scream or bawl. Joy on the other hand is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness . Joy is synonymous to jubilation, triumph, exultation, elation or rejoicing.
To make a joyful noise means to utter a loud call or cry of great pleasure and happiness. It is a cry of jubilation or triumph. It means to cry out for elation or rejoicing. A joyful noise was the strategy that brought down the walls of Jericcho. Joshua 6:20 says, “When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.
Today, we will be making a joyful noise to God and I pray that as we do this, God will bring an end to every form of siege in our lives in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points:
