Pray that you will be more than conqueror
Pray that you will be more than conqueror

Today, we will be praying that we will be more than conquerors. Who is a conqueror? A conqueror is one who conquers. He is one who wins a country in war, subdues or subjugates a people, or overcomes an adversary. A conqueror defeats his enemy; but one who is more than a conqueror subjugates his enemy. A conqueror nullifies the purpose of his enemy. One who is more than conqueror makes the enemy serve his own purposes.
Elijah Was More Than Conqueror
Elijah was a prophet who was more than a conqueror. Three captains of fifty came to arrest him and he called down fire on two captains and their fifty. The third captain had to beg for his life and for the lives of the fifty soldiers for them to be spared. When he had a contest with the prophets of Baal, he won the contest because God answered him by fire. That was a feat that the prophets of Baal could not achieve. After the contest, Elijah killed all the prophets of Baal. This is the attribute of someone who is more than conqueror.
Elijah was so powerful that he cheated death. He went to heaven in a chariot of fire. God had to send a special chariot to carry him to heaven. No other mortal man had been able to achieve that feat. Elijah was truly more than a conqueror.
Elisha Was More Than Conqueror
Elisha was another man who was more than conqueror. Aram’s king sent a large group of soldiers to the city of Dothan to capture Elisha so that he wouldn’t be able to help Israel win a war. Aram’s king heard that Elisha was revealing his secrets to the king of Israel, so he decided to capture him. However, Elisha arrested his arresters by blindfolding them. Initially, Elisha’s servant was afraid when he saw the soldiers who came to arrest them. However, Elisha prayed that God would open his eyes to see the chariots of fire and horses surrounding them. When his servant saw the heavenly army, his mind was at rest. Elisha was a man who had a heavenly army as his bodyguards. That is an attribute of a man that is more than conqueror.
Moses Was More Than Conqueror
Moses was another man who was more than conqueror. How can one man confront a powerful king who has an entire army of a nation at his disposal? Yet, Moses confronted king Pharaoh and he always went in and out of his presence unhurt. He prayed to God and God fought the nation of Egypt with many plagues. King Pharaoh had to plead with Moses several times to pray to God so that He could stop the calamity that they were experiencing and he did. Moses was like a god to king Pharaoh.
Eventually, God used Moses to deliver the nation of Israel from hundreds of years of bondage in Egypt. When Pharaoh and his army pursued them, Pharoah and his entire army perished in the Red Sea. Moses did not fight Pharoah with physical arms or munitions, yet he defeated him and his army. That is an attribute of someone who is more than conqueror. As we pray today, I pray that we will be more than conquerors in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points:
- Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. Thank you Jesus because nothing will separate me from your love. Lord, I thank you because tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword will not be able to separate me from your love.
Romans 8:35-37 (NKJV)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
2. Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. Thank you Jesus for fighting my battles for me and for giving me rest
Revelation 6:2 (NKJV)
And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
3. Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. Jesus, I thank you for making me alive with you when I was dead to my tresspasses and the uncircumcision of my flesh. Father, I thank you because you have wiped out the handwriting or requirements that were against me, which was contrary to me. Thank you Lord for taking it out and nailing it to the cross. Father, I thank you because you have disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Colossians 2:13-15 (NKJV)
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
4. Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. Lord, I thank you for giving me the grace to disarm all the giants that are illegally occupying my territory. Thank you Jesus for giving me all the fortified cities as my inheritance. Father, I thank you for giving me the grace to wholly follow you.
Joshua 14:12-14 (NKJV)
Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.” 13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance. 14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.
5. Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. Thank you Jesus because I sit with you in the heavenly realms far above all rule and authority, power and dominion. Thank you Jesus for giving me your name that is above every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Ephesians 1:20-21 (NIV)
He exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Pray For An Overwhelming Victory

7. Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. Father, I thank you for giving me victory through my Lord, Jesus Christ
1 Corinthians 15:57 (NIV)
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
8. Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. Lord, I pray that just like you fought for David and empowered him to kill Goliath, you will fight for me also in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will destroy every giants that is harassing me in Jesus’ name
1 Samuel 17:44-46 (NIV)
“Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and the wild animals!” 45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.
9. Father, I thank you because I am more than conqueror. I pray that the enemies who rise up against me will be defeated before me in Jesus’ name. I pray that if they come at me in one direction, they will flee from me in seven in Jesus’ name
Deuteronomy 28:7 (NIV)
The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
