Faith To Move Mountains

Faith To Move Mountains

Today, we will be praying for faith to move mountains. Jesus said to his disciples that the faith to move mountains is as small as a mustard seed. A mustard seed is quite small, typically measuring about 1 to 2 millimeters in diameter. This tiny size is often used metaphorically to illustrate the concept of something small that can grow into something much larger and more significant, as Jesus referenced this in the Bible. If mountain can truly move by a faith that is as small as a mustard seed, then there is nothing you can do or achieve if you have a great faith.

The woman with the issue of blood had faith that if she touched the hem of the garment of Jesus, she would receive her healing. She touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and her health was restored. Many received their dead back to live because they have faith in the Word of God.

Examples of Those Who Have Faith That Moved Mountains

Here are some examples of individuals in the Bible whose faith “moved mountains” or brought about significant change and miracles:

  1. Abraham

He demonstrated immense faith when he was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac, believing God’s promise that through Isaac his descendants would be numerous (Genesis 22).

  2. Moses

He led the Israelites out of Egypt and performed numerous miracles, including parting the Red Sea, through his faith in God’s instructions (Exodus 14).

  3. Joshua

He showed faith that moved mountains when he led the Israelites into the Promised Land and saw the walls of Jericho fall after they marched around them as God commanded (Joshua 6).

  4. Gideon

With only 300 men, Gideon defeated the Midianites by following God’s unconventional battle plan, demonstrating his trust in God’s power. This is truly a faith that moves mountains (Judges 7).

  5. David

He defeated Goliath, a giant, with a sling and a stone, showing great faith in God’s protection and strength. The giant was defeated by a faith that moves mountains (1 Samuel 17).

  6. Elijah

He displayed faith when he called down fire from heaven to consume his offering and defeated the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. You can also have a faith that moves mountains (1 Kings 18).

  7. Daniel

He survived a night in the lions’ den due to his unwavering faith in God’s protection. Evil lions can not devour you if you have a faith that moves mountains (Daniel 6).

  8. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

They displayed faith when they refused to worship Nebuchadnezzar’s statue and were thrown into the fiery furnace, from which God delivered them unharmed. Evil fire can not harm you if you have a faith that moves mountains (Daniel 3).

  9. Mary

The mother of Jesus, showed great faith when she accepted the angel Gabriel’s message that she would conceive Jesus by the Holy Spirit. It takes faith that moves mountains to accept God’s plans and purpose for our lives even when it looks like an impossible mission. (Luke 1:26-38).

  10. Peter

Walked on water toward Jesus, demonstrating his faith, although he began to sink when he doubted. When you have a faith that moves mountains, impossibility will become possible for you  (Matthew 14:28-31).

  11. Paul

Endured numerous hardships, including imprisonment and shipwrecks, through his unwavering faith in God’s mission for him. Nothing will be able to separate you from the love of Christ if you have a faith that moves mountains. You will have the faith to go through life’s challenges (Acts 27, 2 Corinthians 11:23-28).

  12. The Centurion

Believed that Jesus could heal his servant simply by speaking a word, demonstrating remarkable faith. You will be able to receive the simplicity of the Word of God if you have a faith that moves mountains (Matthew 8:5-13).

  13. The Canaanite Woman

She showed faith by persistently asking Jesus to heal her daughter, despite initial rebuffs. You should be persistent until you get answers to your prayers. You need to have a faith that moves mountains (Matthew 15:21-28).

  14. The Woman with the Issue of Blood

She believed she would be healed if she just touched Jesus’ cloak, which she did, and was healed immediately. If you have a faith that moves mountains, you will know that impossible is possible (Mark 5:25-34).

  15. Bartimaeus

He was A blind man who displayed faith by persistently calling out to Jesus for healing despite being told to be quiet. He did not allow anyone to silence him and he was persistent until he received his miracle. He had a faith that moves mountains (Mark 10:46-52).

  16. The Apostles

Performed many miracles and spread the Gospel with boldness, even in the face of persecution, through their faith (Acts 2-5).

  17. Hannah

Prayed fervently for a child and demonstrated faith by dedicating her son Samuel to God (1 Samuel 1).

  18. Jehoshaphat

Trusted in God’s deliverance when facing a vast enemy army and saw God deliver Judah through faith and worship (2 Chronicles 20).

  19. Noah

Built an ark in obedience to God’s command despite there being no sign of rain, showing his faith in God’s warning and promise (Genesis 6-9).

  20. Hezekiah

Prayed for healing and extra years of life when he was terminally ill, and God granted his request, adding fifteen years to his           life (2 Kings 20:1-11).

Prayer Points

  1. Father, I pray that you will give me faith that moves mountains. Lord, I pray that as I touch you by faith, you will heal me from all forms of infirmities in Jesus’ name. Father, I pray that just as you healed the woman with the flow of blood, you will heal me in Jesus’ name

Mark 5:25-29 (NKJV)

Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

2. Father, I pray that you will give me a faith that moves mountains. Lord, I pray that just like Bartimaeus receives his sight by faith, I will receive my sight and you will give me a clear vision in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will have  seeing eyes and I will be able to fulfill your plans and purpose for my life in Jesus’ name

Mark 10:46-52 (NKJV)

Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” 50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

51 So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” 52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

3. Father, I pray that you will give me a faith that moves mountains. Lord, I pray that just like Moses did great exploits through faith, I will do great exploits for you by faith in Jesus’ name

Exodus 14:15-18 (NKJV)

And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. 17 And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen. 18 Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

4. Father, I pray for a faith to move mountains. Lord, I pray that you will give me a great faith like the centurion. I pray that I will receive answers to all my prayers by faith in Jesus’ name

Matthew 8:5-10 (NKJV)

Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” 7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.

10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

Faith That Breaks Barriers

5. Father, I pray that you will give me a faith that moves mountains. Lord, I pray that you will bring down all the walls of Jericho that are preventing me from entering into my land that is flowing with milk and honey in Jesus’ name.

Joshua 6:20-21 (NKJV)

So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. 21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.

6. Father, I pray for a faith that moves mountains. Lord, I pray that just like Hezekiah had faith in you for his healing and he was saved from death, I pray that sickness and death will not have dominion over me in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will not die prematurely and I will fulfill my purpose in Jesus’ name

2 Kings 20:1-5 (NKJV)

In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’ ” 2 Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying, 3 “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

4 And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 5 “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.

7. Father, I pray for a faith that moves mountains. Lord, I pray that by faith, I will begin to walk in the supernatural in Jesus’ name. I pray that all things that look impossible become possible for me in Jesus’ name.

Matthew 14:28-31 (NKJV)

And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

8. Father, I pray for faith to move mountains. Lord, I pray that as from now on, you will answer my prayers by fire in Jesus’ name. I destroy every ungodly altar militating against the spread of the gospel in my land by faith in Jesus’ name.

1 Kings 18:36-39 (NKJV)

And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”
