Pray That BKCC Shall Be Like A City Set On A Hill That Cannot Be Hidden
Today, we will pray that BKCC shall be like a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14 says, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” This shows that the Church should give the world illumination. A city can be in darkness if the Church is not present there. That means that the gross darkness is not the absence of sunlight. Darkness in a life or in a city is due to the absence of believers who are the light of the world.
However, it is possible for you to light your candle and still put it under a bushel. Your city needs your light for illumination. That is why we are going to pray for BKCC. We shall be blazing like a city set on a hill. Our light will be conspicuous.
God Will Take You From Obscurity to Limelight
It is not the will of God for you to be in obscurity when you can come into the limelight. Jesus while He was on earth did not seek to be famous, yet His fame went abroad. Most of the time when He did a miracle, He would tell the people not to mention His name. However, these people always go out to spread the good news about Jesus. Jesus Christ’s exploits were glaring for all to see. Jesus lived at a time when there was no traditional media like Television or radio stations. I doubt if there were print media while Jesus was on earth. I am so sure that there was no digital media like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and other social media during His time. Yet, all His exploits were obvious for all to see.
Jesus Was A City Set On A Hill
Jesus Christ was always pulling the crowd. The only means of marketing that must be popular during His time is word of mouth marketing. Before Jesus arrived at any destination, the news would have spread all over. The crowd would have gathered waiting for Him. He was healing all manners of diseases, raising the dead and delivering those who were under demonic oppression. Jesus does not want us to hide our light because we are also the light of the world. He wants us to set our city upon a hill where the whole world will see it. I pray that BKCC will shine like a city set on a hill. The whole world will see our light in Jesus’ name.
You Will Arise and Shine
God gave us the command to shine in the book of Isaiah. Isaiah 60:1-3 says, “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” If we refuse to shine our light, we will not attract the Gentiles. Also, the kings will only come to the brightness of our rising. This is the major reason why we cannot afford to hide our light under a bushel. As we pray today, I pray that the Lord will make us a city set o a hill. Our light will shine for the whole world to see in Jesus’ name.

3. Father, I pray that the light in BKCC will shine in the midst of the darkness in the land of Canada and all over the world in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that we will shine like a city set on a hill. Lord, let your glory shine through us in Jesus’ name
2 Peter 1:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
4. BKCC, I command you to arise and shine for your light has come. I pray that the glory of the Lord will rise upon you. BKCC, I decree that God will make you a city set on a hill in Jesus’ name.
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
5. Father, I pray that BKCC will shine in the midst of darkness that covers the earth. I pray that the light of BKCC will shine in the midst of darkness that covers the people. I pray that the Gentiles will come to your light and their kings will come into brightness of your rising in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 60:2-3
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
6. Father, I pray that the sun will no longer be our light by day in BKCC, nor for brightness shall the moon give us light. I pray that the Lord will be to us an everlasting light and God will be our glory in Jesus’ name. I pray that BKCC will be like a city set on a hill in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 60:19
“The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.
7. Father, I pray that our sun in BKCC shall no longer go down and our moon will not withdraw itself. I pray that the Lord will be our everlasting light and the days of our mourning have ended. I pray that BKCC shall be like a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden in Jesus’ name.
Isaiah 60:20
Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.
8. Father, I pray that as the church in BKCC beholds your face, we will be transformed from glory to glory in Jesus’ name. I pray that our light will shine for the whole world to see in Jesus’ name. We will be like a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden in Jesus’ name
Matthew 17:2
And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light
9. Father, I pray that you will make your face shine on us in BKCC and you will be gracious unto us. I pray that the whole world will see your glory through BKCC in Jesus’ name
Numbers 6:25
The Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you
10. Father, I pray that the people who walk in darkness will see a great light through BKCC. I pray that those in a dark land, the light will shine on them. I pray that BKCC will be the light of the world and like a city on the hill in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 9:2
The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them.
11. Father, I pray that our light in BKCC will shine in the darkness in all nations of the world and the darkness will not be able to comprehend it. Lord, I pray that you will increase the intensity of our light in BKCC in Jesus’ name. I pray that this light that you have kindled will shine all over the world in Jesus’ name.
John 1:5
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
