Pray that God will calm every storm
Pray that God will calm every storm

Today, we will pray that God will calm every storm. God can give you rest even in the midst of a storm. At least, Jesus was sleeping when there was a storm while his disciples were panicking. You can only sleep in the midst of a storm based on what you know. Jesus knew that it was not possible for the storm to sweep Him away. He knew that He has power over storms. Jesus was expecting His disciples to also know that for Him to be sleeping in the midst of a storm, they don’t have to be afraid or panic. All they needed to do also was to rest.
The Storm And The Wind Obeyed Jesus
Jesus has an MSC degree. He is the Master over Situations and Circumstances. He commanded the wind and the storm and at one word, the storm and the wind obeyed Him. Jesus also expects us to operate this way when we are going through storms. We are more than conquerors.
When I read the story of Jonah while he was sleeping inside the ship during a storm, I began to suspect those who normally sleep in the midst of storms. It seems they had some knowledge that others who are panicking do not have. In the case of Jonah, he knew that the storm came as a result of his disobedience to God, therefore he was sleeping. He also knew the solution to how to calm the storm. After all other people in that ship had wasted their resources and their belongings by throwing them into the sea, they came to Jonah to know why he was sleeping while others were panicking. Jonah told them what they needed to do. He knew he had sinned against God and the only way to have peace and rest in that situation is to throw him into the sea.
God Will Deliver You From Stormy Relationships
The story of Jonah shows that storms can come as a result of sin. If you allow anyone who is disobedient to God in your ship, you might experience storms, no matter how anointed that person is.
There are some stormy relationships that God needs to deliver you from. God is delivering you from such stormy relationships today in Jesus’ name. Some are experiencing storms in their marriages. However, God will calm every storm in your marriage in Jesus’ name. Storm brings unrest and fear. In any case, God says that He is your refuge and strength. He is a very present help in times of need. This means that even in the midst of a storm, you have a shield and you have a refuge. There are some refuges that can not withstand storms. If God is not your refuge, storms can sweep off that refuge. However, when God is your refuge, no storm can move God. If you are experiencing any form of storm right now, I pray that God will calm down the storm in Jesus’ name.
