Today, we will pray that God will deliver us from troubles. Trouble means difficulty or problems. Trouble also means public unrest or disorder. It could also be defined as a situation in which you experience problems, usually because of something you have done wrong or badly. God has the capacity to deliver you from trouble. He is a very present help in trouble. Psalm 32:7 (NIV) says, “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” If you make God your hiding place, you will be delivered from trouble.
One of the ways to get out of trouble is to cry to God for help. When the Israelites were serving with rigor under their Egyptian taskmasters, it got to a stage that the situation was unbearable. They sighed and cried to God for help and He answered them. Psalm 34:17 (NIV) says, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.” From this scripture, you will realize that God hears the cry of the righteous. So, if you want God to deliver you from troubles, you need to ensure that you live righteously.
God Can Deliver The Righteous From Troubles
God does not listen to the cry of the sinners except if it is a cry of repentance. Isaiah 59:1-2 (NIV) says, “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” This verse shows that if you are living in sin, the Lord will not hear your cry in times of trouble. Sin makes God’s ears too dull to hear. Sin makes the arm of the Lord too short to save. Therefore, if you have been living in sin, it is better you repent today so that God can deliver you from trouble.
Prayer has the capacity to deliver from trouble. James 5:13 (NIV) says, “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray.” The blind Bartimaeus was living in darkness for several years until he met Jesus. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he cried at the top of his voice for mercy. Jesus heard him and he told him to receive his sight. Instantly, he was able to see. Jesus is always ready to deliver from trouble. All we need to do is to cry unto Him. As you pray today, I pray that God will deliver you from troubles in Jesus’ name.

8. Father, I pray that you will deliver me from trouble. Lord, you delivered Peter from Herod, when Herod jailed him and planned to kill him. Father, you rescued Peter from the clutches of death when the church prayed for him. Lord, I pray today that you will deliver me from troubles also in Jesus’ name. Father, I pray that you will command your angels to fight my battles for me.
Acts 12:5-7 (NIV)
The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.
9. Father, I pray that you will deliver me from troubles in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will deliver me from deadly peril again and again. Lord, I have set my hope on you. Therefore, I pray that you will continue to deliver me in Jesus’ name.
