Pray for God’s Protection and Security

Pray For God’s Protection and Security

Today, we will pray for God’s protection and security. One of the duties of the Lord, who is your Shepherd, is to guarantee your protection and security. A shepherd guides and protects his sheep against danger. He ensures that the sheep are protected from wild animals. You will recall that God built His hedge around Job so that the devil will not be able to attack him. Today, if you are not experiencing any attack from the enemies, it is because God has guaranteed your protection and security.

Psalm 23 is traditionally attributed to King David. David, who was a shepherd before becoming the king of Israel, is often credited with writing many of the Psalms, including Psalm 23, which is one of the most well-known and cherished Psalms in the Bible. David wrote that Psalm because he understood the importance of God’s protection and security. God protected him from the wild animals in the bush. There was a time he killed the lion and the bear. God protected and secured him from all the dangers he faced in the bush while he was tending his flock.

Trust in the Lord’s Shield and Safety

You will also recall that God protected and secured David when he faced Goliath. God did not allow Goliath to overpower him. Despite the danger of facing Goliath and the vast army he led, God gave David victory over Goliath and the army of the Philistines. Also, David faced several attacks from king Saul. There were several times that it looked as if David would be captured but God protected and secured him. No wonder, he said though he walked through the valley of the shadow of death, he would fear no evil because God was with him.

Likewise, if God has not protected and secured you, you would probably not be alive today. From all the danger in the world today, all you need is God’s protection and security. God has delivered me at gun points several times. If not for the intervention of God at those times, maybe I would probably have been dead by now. So, I understand the importance of God’s protection and security. I am sure many of you have your own testimony too. Are you experiencing danger? God is ready to protect and secure you in Jesus’ name

Prayer Points:

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.
