Prayer of Consecration | NODE
Night of Divine Encounter Day 2 - Prayer Of Consecration - Sunday, June 27th, 2021. Theme: Let my people go
Prayer of Consecration
Today, we will be praying the prayer of consecration. It is the will of God for us to be set apart and not entangle ourselves with the affairs of this world. We are not supposed to be ruled by the flesh but by the Spirit of God. Just like Samuel was consecrated and set apart by his mother at a tender age, God expects us to consecrate ourselves and be set apart for His use.
You can not be thinking the way the world is thinking and you can not act the way the world is acting. Your life needs to be dedicated to God and you must be willing and ready to do His will and go to wherever He sends you. You might not be able to achieve this by your strength or power. You need to pray to God for His will to be done in your life. Jesus prayed the same prayer while at the garden of Gethsemane. When He saw what He would go through on the cross, He wanted the cup to pass over Him. He eventually prayed that only God’s will be done.
King David prayed the same prayer in Psalm 51:10. He said, “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me” You need to also pray the same prayer until you see that your life is completely dedicated to God’s will.
Prayer Points: Prayer of Consecration
- Father, I thank you for your grace upon my life. Lord, I offer myself as a living sacrifice to God. Lead me to wherever you want me to be Lord. Direct me to wherever you want me to go. Let me be usable to you Lord. Make me a living sacrifice in Jesus’ name
Romans 12:1
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
2. Father, according to your Word, I will start living in the reality that I am a holy nation, a royal priesthood, and your possession Lord. As from now on, I pray that I will proclaim your excellencies of Him who has called me out of darkness into God’s marvelous light
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
3. Lord, I pray that all the members of my body will not be instruments of unrighteousness in Jesus’ name. Lord, let me die to sin and be alive to righteousness in Jesus’ name. I pray that all the members of my body will be instruments of righteousness in Jesus’ name
Romans 6:13
Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
4. Lord, I pray my body will glorify God. Let me live in that consciousness that I am bought with a price and I am not my own in Jesus’ name
1 Corinthians 6:20
For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
5. Lord, I receive the grace to consecrate myself in Jesus’ name. As I consecrate myself, I pray that the Lord will do wonders in my life in Jesus’ name
Joshua 3:5
Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
6. Father, I pray that I will not present the members of my body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness. Instead, I present the members of my body as slaves to righteousness, leading to sanctification in Jesus’ name
Romans 6:19
I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
7. Father, I pray that sin will not have dominion over me in Jesus’ name. As of today, I die to sin and I live to righteousness in Jesus’ name
1 Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
8. Lord, I dedicate my life to you. Use me for your glory. Let me be a vessel unto honor in your household. I give my life, my time, my strength, my wealth, and all that I am to you, Lord. Break me, make me, mold me, bend me, straighten me, strengthen me, empower me, and let me be useful for your glory Lord
1 Samuel 1:11
And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.”
9. Lord, you said in your Word in Exodus 19:22 that “let the priests who come near to the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them”. In 1 Peter 2:9, I realize that I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and God’s special people” I consecrate myself today Lord in Jesus’ name. Cleanse me and purify me. Let me be usable to you Lord. I pray that God will not break out against me in Jesus’ name
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Exodus 19:22
“Also let the priests who come near to the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.”
10. Lord, I pray that you will circumcise the foreskin of my heart according to your Word in Deuteronomy 10:16. I pray for the grace to love you God with all my heart, with all my soul, and to keep your commandments and statutes, Lord. I pray that I will no longer be stubborn, but I will yield to your plans and purpose for my life in Jesus’ name.
Genesis 17:23
Then Abraham took Ishmael his son and all those born in his house or bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very day, as God had said to him.
Deuteronomy 10:12-17
12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today for your good? 14 Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.
15 Yet the Lord set his heart in love on your fathers and chose their offspring after them, you above all peoples, as you are this day. 16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn. 17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.
11. Lord, I pray that you will put your law within me and write them in my heart in Jesus’ name. I pray that you will be my God and you will count me worthy to be yours in Jesus’ name.
Jeremiah 31:33
“But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
