Praising God For Dominion
Dominion means to be in charge of something or to rule over it. It is one of the greatest gifts that God gave to man at creation. God expects us to exercise royal dominion over the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth (Genesis 1:26). We are God’s ambassador here on earth and we are expected to represent him by dominating the earth.
Today, we are going to be thanking God for giving us dominion over sin, cosmic rulers, powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. We will appreciate God because He has created us in his image and He has given us dominion over all other creations. We are going to thank God for always leading us in triumph in Christ and through us in every place making manifest the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.
God gave us dominion over the earth and over all things in the earth when man was created. However, we lost that dominion because man sinned against God. Today, through Jesus Christ, the dominion has been restored unto us. We are supposed to be eternally grateful unto God for sending Jesus Christ to restore that dominion that we lost in Eden.
Prayer Points:
- Let us thank God who has given us dominion in Christ. Let us thank God because we can only walk in dominion today because Jesus has restored our dominion.
2 Corinthians 2: 14
“But thanks be to God, the One always leading us in triumph in Christ, and through us in every place making manifest the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”
2. Pray to God and thank him for your faith in Jesus Christ. Thank God for bringing you out of darkness and because you know the only true and living God.
Ephesians 1:15-16
“For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.”
3. God, we thank you because your kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom and all dominions will serve and obey you.
Daniel 7:27
Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.’
4. Father, I thank you for the dominion you gave me in the garden of Eden. Thank you Father because by the virtue of this dominion, I shall be fruitful and multiply. In Jesus’ name I pray
Genesis 1:28
God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
5. Give glory to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank God and give Him glory, majesty, and authority
Jude 1:25
“To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
6. Thank you Jesus for giving me dominion over the works of your hands and for putting all things under my feet. In Jesus’ name I pray
Psalm 8:6
You make him to rule over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
7. Father, yours, o Lord, is the greatness and power and the glory and the victory and majesty. Everything that is in the heavens and earth belongs to you. Yours is dominion o Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
1 Corinthians 29:11
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
8. Father, I thank you. Every created thing which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them worship you. I join the host of heaven today to say, ‘To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory forever and ever.”
Revelation 5:13
And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.”
9. Father, I thank you because your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
Psalm 145:13
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
10. Father, I thank you because authority, honor and glory belongs to you. I thank you for the privilege to serve you. Your dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away and your kingdom is one which will not be destroyed. Thank you Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray
Daniel 7:14
“And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language might serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.
11. I bless you Lord because authority in heaven and on earth belongs to you. In Jesus’ name I pray
Psalm 103:22
Bless the Lord, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion; Bless the Lord, O my soul!
12. Lord, how great are your signs. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and your dominion is from generation to generation. In Jesus’ name I pray
Daniel 4:3
“How great are His signs and how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom
And His dominion is from generation to generation
13. Father, I thank you because dominion and awe belong to you, who establishes peace in His heights
Job 25:2
“Dominion and awe belong to Him, who establishes peace in His heights.
14. Lord, I thank you because you are the living God and enduring forever. Your kingdom is one which will not be destroyed and your dominion will be forever. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Daniel 6:26
I make a decree that in all the dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel;
For He is the living God and enduring forever, and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed, and His dominion will be forever.
15. Lord, I thank you for establishing your throne in the heavens. Your sovereignty rules over all.
Psalm 103:19
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all.
