Revelation of Who You Are In Christ
We need the revelation of whom we are in Christ. The reason why many of us are not walking in dominion is simply because we don’t understand who we are in Christ. Truly, in the garden of Eden, man lost is dominion and authority to Satan. We willingly and willfully handed over our dominion to Satan when we sinned against God and obeyed Satan. However, the dominion that we lost in Christ has been regained through Jesus. Once you believe in Christ, you have the power to become the Son of God.
Why are many believers not living out their true nature today? It is due to the fact that we don’t know who we are in Christ. Despite the fact that we have dominion if you don’t have the knowledge of your right in Christ you will still perish. What is the importance of having the Sword of the Spirit and not knowing how to use it. A soldier who is well armed with different armor but who does not have the knowledge of how to use that armor will still be defeated hands down when the enemies come.
This is why we have to pray for the revelation of who we are in Christ. Apostle Paul knew the importance of this prayer and he prayed it several times in different forms. I pray that God will give us the revelation of who we are in Him in Jesus’ name. If you know Christ, then you will know yourself. Because we see the revelation of whom we are in Him. So, our prayer will focus mainly on knowing Christ.
Prayer Points:
- Let us pray that God will give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may know him better
Ephesians 1:7
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”
2. Father, I pray that whenever I cry you will hear me. Lord’ please don’t hide your face from me. In Jesus’ name I pray
Micah 3:4
Then they will cry out to the Lord, But He will not answer them. Instead, He will hide His face from them at that time because they have practiced evil deed
3. Lord, I pray that I will not act foolishly or without understanding. Open my eyes of understanding, so that I may know you. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Jeremiah 4:22
“For My people are foolish, they know Me not; They are stupid children and have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know.”
4. Father, open my eyes of understanding so that I may know you. I don’t want to worship a God that I do not know. Reveal yourself to me. In Jesus’ name I pray
John 4:22
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
5. Lord, I don’t want to be a slave to those which by nature are no gods. Reveal yourself to me and show me the revelation of who I am in you. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Galatians 4:8
However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods
6. Father, I pray that I will not be darkened in my understanding. I pray that I will not be excluded from the life of God due to ignorance and hardness of my heart. Reveal yourself to me Lord
Ephesians 4:;18
“Being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart
7. Father, I pray that you will reveal to me that which you have hidden from the wise and intelligent. In Jesus’ name I pray
Matthew 11:25-27
At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
8. Father, I pray that you will not be quiet in my case. Lord, I pray that you will not hide your face from me. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Job 34:29
When He keeps quiet, who then can condemn? And when He hides His face, who then can behold Him, That is, in regard to both nation and man?
9. Father, reveal yourself to me through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. I pray that I will know you intimately and love you passionately in Jesus’ name
1 Corinthians 1:21
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
10. Lord, let your Word be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Let your word give me understanding. In Jesus’ name I pray
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:130
The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
11. Father, let your commandment be my lamp and your teaching my light. In Jesus’ name I pray
Proverbs 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; And reproofs for discipline are the way of life
12. Father, let your good Spirit continually instruct me in Jesus’ name
Nehemiah 9:20
“You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, Your manna You did not withhold from their mouth, And You gave them water for their thirst.
13. Father, I pray that your Holy Spirit will continually teach me every hour about what to say and do. In Jesus’ name I pray
Luke 12:12
“For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
14. Father, let your spirit reveal all things to me. Let your Spirit search and reveal depths of God unto me. In Jesus’ name I pray.
1 Corinthians 2:10
For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
15. Father, I pray that your anointing will continually abide in me. I pray that your anointing will continually teach me about all things. As the anointing teaches me, I pray that I will abide in Him. In Jesus’ name I pray
1 John 2:27
As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.
16. Father, give me knowledge and intelligence just like you gave Daniel and His friends. Give me the grace to understand all kinds of visions and dreams. In Jesus’ name I pray
Daniel 1:17
As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams.
17. Father, I pray that you will reveal yourself and secret things to me in dreams in Jesus’ name
Matthew 2:12
And having been warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod, the magi left for their own country by another way.
18. Father, I pray that you will appear to me in visions in Jesus’ name. Don’t let me ever live in the dark. In Jesus’ name I pray
Acts 16:9
A vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing and appealing to him, and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
19. Lord, I pray that you will reveal yourself to me in trance in Jesus’ name. Constantly talk to me and don’t ever let me live in the dark, so that I will constantly walk in dominion. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Acts 22:17-18
“It happened when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I fell into a trance, and I saw Him saying to me, ‘Make haste, and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about Me.’
20. Father, I pray that you will speak with me from mouth to mouth. Speak to me openly and not in dark sayings. Let me constantly behold your face, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray
Numbers 12:8
With him I speak mouth to mouth, Even openly, and not in dark sayings, And he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant, against Moses?”
21. Father, let me see you face to face just as you appeared to Jacob at Peniel. Let me become like you as you give me the revelation of who I am in you. In Jesus’ name I pray
Genesis 32:30
So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been preserved.”
22. Father, just like you appeared to Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and the seventy elders, reveal yourself to me God. In Jesus’ name I pray
Exodus 24:9-10
Then Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself.
23. Lord, I pray that I will not only hear you by the hearing of the ear, let my eyes see you. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Job 42:5
“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You;
24. Lord, let me know you and the power of your resurrection and the fellowship of your suffering that is being made conformable unto your death. Show me the revelation of whom I am in Christ. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Philippians 3:10
“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death”
