Pray That You Will Be A Vessel Unto Honour Fit For The Master’s Use

Today, we will pray that God will use us as vessels unto honour fit for the Master’s use. There are several types of vessels in the Lord’s house. Some vessels are  honourable while others are for common use. If you want God to give you an uncommon assignment then God has to make you. Jesus called Peter and told him that He will make him a fisher of men. Matthew 4:19 says, “Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Peter would have never been a fisher of men if Jesus did not make him one. Jesus is still in the process of making vessels. He wants to make you fit for the Master’s use. As you surrender yourself to God today, I pray that He will make you a vessel unto honour in Jesus’ name.

God is still in the business of making vessels unto honour. However, it is not all the vessels that are fit for the Master’s use. For you to be a vessel unto honour, you need to cleanse yourself. 2 Timothy 2:20 says, “A large house contains not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay. Some indeed are for honourable use, but others are for common use. So if anyone cleanses himself of what is unfit, he will be a vessel for honour : sanctified, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.”

This scripture shows that you have a part to play in becoming a vessel unto honour. It is a partnership with God. You need to cleanse yourself and God will make you a vessel unto honour and prepare you for every good work. God is not preparing you for a bad or ugly work but for a good work.

The Fire of God Turned Isaiah Into More Valuable Vessel

Isaiah had been prophesying for some time before he had an unusual encounter with God. God knows that Isaiah’s tongue could be more useful if  He can anoint it with a coal of fire. Isaiah 6:6-7 says, “Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.  And with it he touched my mouth and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your iniquity is removed and your sin is atoned for.” This shows that prior to this time, Isaiah had been prophesying with a tongue full of iniquity. God put His fire on his tongue and destroyed all forms of impurity. This God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will also make you a vessel unto honour fit for the Master’s use in Jesus’ name.

 2 Timothy 2:20

A large house contains not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay. Some indeed are for honourable use, but others are for common use. 21 So if anyone cleanses himself of what is unfit, he will be a vessel for honour :sanctified, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.

2. Father, I pray that you will purge me and purify me so that I can be holy to you Lord. I pray that you will make me a vessel unto honour in your household in Jesus’ name.

Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

7. Father, I pray that you will mould me and make me into what you want me to be in Jesus’ name. I present myself as a clay in your hand as the Potter. Father, I pray that you will make me a vessel unto honour in Jesus’ name

But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.

8. Father, I pray for the grace not to struggle with you as you make me to a honourable vessel in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray for the grace to surrender my totality to you in Jesus’ name

Romans 9:20-21

9. Father, I pray that you will shape me into what you want me to be in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will mould me into a great vessel in your hands in Jesus’ name.

Jeremiah 18:1-6

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” 3 So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

5 Then the word of the Lord came to me. 6 He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
