Praying for the Activation of Dormant Prophetic Words

Praying for the Activation of Dormant Prophetic Words

Today, we will pray for the activation of dormant prophetic Words. There are several scriptures that emphasize the activation of dormant prophetic words, where promises and prophecies delayed or seemingly inactive become realized through faith and divine intervention. Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” This verse assures that prophecies, though delayed, will manifest in God’s perfect timing. God’s timing is always different from our own timing. In any case, the Word of the Lord will always surely come to pass.

God’s promises are powerful and will be fulfilled without fail. You can activate dormant prophetic words through fasting and prayer. Whenever you pray, you are reminding God of His promises. He said that you should ask and it shall be given. Jesus said that you should knock and the door will be opened unto you. There was a man named Simeon, who was praying for the fulfillment of the prophecy about Jesus. Simeon was a devout and righteous man who lived in Jerusalem and was waiting for the consolation of Israel, which refers to the coming of the Messiah. The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. He saw the fulfillment of these prophetic words before his demise.

Activating Dormant Prophetic Words Through Faith

Faith is one of the ways to activate dormant prophetic words. God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and Sarah despite the delay.. Abraham’s unwavering faith activated God’s promise. He did not waver in faith and he patiently waited until the prophetic words manifested. When Elijah told king Ahab that he heard a sound of abundant rain, he activated those prophetic words through prevailing prayers before he saw the manifestation. You can activate all dormant prophetic words spoken over you through prayer of faith.

You can use the prophetic words spoken about you to fight your spiritual battle. Paul urges Timothy to use the prophecies spoken over him as a tool in spiritual warfare (1 Timothy 1:18). God actively ensures that His promises and prophetic words come to pass. Once you engage Him, He is always ready and willing to answer your prayers that are based on His promises. However, God has His own perfect timing for the fulfillment of His words. Even when it seems slow, God’s timing is perfect for the fulfillment of promises. Psalm 105:19 (NIV) says, “Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” This bible verse reveals God’s timing in activating Joseph’s prophetic dreams after a period of testing.

Passing Test of Character Can Activate Dormant Prophetic Words

Your waiting period for those prophetic words could be a testing period. One of the things that would be tested is your character. The reason why some don’t see the manifestation of God’s promises on time is because they kept on failing God’s test. Many of the Israelites who left Egypt died in the wilderness without seeing God’s promises because they failed God’s test several times in the wilderness. They were always murmuring and complaining. They grumbled and grumbled until God pronounced judgment upon them. God does not expect you to forget all His benefits. The benefits of yesterday are the testimony of today that will birth the promises of God both now and in the future. Make sure that you don’t fail your test of character.

Activating Dormant Prophetic Words Through Praise

God’s nature is faithful, ensuring the activation of His promises. Numbers 23:19 (NIV) says “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” You can put your mind at rest whenever God promises and believes in His prophetic words. The moment Hannah received prophetic words through Eli that she would have a baby boy, she started praising God. This shows that praise is also one of the ways to activate dormant prophetic words.

Jehoshaphat and the city of Judah received a prophetic word that God will fight their battles when those three nations waged a war against them. They activated those prophetic words through praise. You can also activate the prophetic words over your life through praise. As we pray today, I pray that God will activate all dormants prophetic words in your life in Jesus’ name.
