Pray That Your Children Will Start Hearing From God
Today, we will be praying that our children will start hearing from God from their tender age. God still speaks. The fact that you are not hearing does not mean that He is not speaking. Many can hear with their physical ears but they are deaf spiritually. If you have been correcting your child on the same issue over and over again without any changes, God just needs to open his or ears. Revelation 3:22 says, “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” The ears that were mentioned here are not physical ears. That is why you have to pray that your children will start hearing from God.
It is also possible for someone to hear but harden his or her heart. Pharaoh heard what Moses said that he should allow the Israelites to go but he hardened his heart. Proverbs 29:1 says, “A man who remains stiff-necked after much reproof will suddenly be shattered beyond recovery.” When a man hardens his heart, he will perish without remedy. That is why you need to pray for your children. Hebrews 3:15 says, “As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.” It is an act of rebellion for a child to harden his heart.
Don’t Harden Your Heart When God Speaks
I however have good news for you. God has the capacity to soften a hardened heart. As from now on, your children will start hearing from God and God will break every stony heart in Jesus’ name. Before the fall of man, the spiritual ears of man were very active. Adam and Eve could hear the sound of the Lord God when he walked in the garden. Genesis 3:8 says, “Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.” Even shortly after the fall of man, they could still hear the sound of the footsteps of God. I pray that God will open the ears of your children and they will start hearing from God in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points
- Father, I pray that my children will start hearing from God supernaturally in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that as my children listen to your Word and you will increase their faith in Jesus’ name
Romans 1:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. Father, I pray that my children will start hearing your voice clearly in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that as you speak to them, they will not harden their hearts in Jesus’ name
Hebrews 3:15
As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
3. Father, I pray that my children will have a supernatural encounter with you in Jesus’ name. I pray that my children will start hearing from you and they will obey your voice in Jesus’ name
John 8:47
Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.
4. Father, I pray that as my children hear your voice, they will obey your voice in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that my children will walk in your ways in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
5. Father, I pray that my children will hear your voice and they will not harden their hearts in Jesus’ name.
Hebrews 4:7
God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
6. Father, I pray that as you knock at the door of the hearts of my children, they will open up to you and allow you to come in. Lord, I pray that you will dine with my children in Jesus’ name
Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
7. Father, I pray that my children will start hearing the sound of the Lord God as it was in the beginning. Lord, I pray that my children ways will please you in Jesus’ name
Genesis 3:8

8. Father, I pray you will count my children worthy to be among your sheep in Jesus’ name. I pray that my children will hear your voice and they will open up to you in Jesus’ name
John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
9. Father, I pray that you will speak to my children and they will perceive it in Jesus’ name
Jobs 33:14
For God does speak–now one way, now another–though no one perceives it.
10. Father, I pray that my children will listen to what the Lord says. I pray that my children will encounter God’s peace as a result of this in Jesus’ name
Psalm 85:8
I will listen to what God the LORD says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants–but let them not turn to folly.
11. Father, I pray that my children will listen to your voice and understand your voice in Jesus’ name. I pray that my children will not go astray in Jesus’ name. They will walk in your plans and purpose for their lives in Jesus’ name
John 10:2-4
The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
12. Father, I pray that you will speak to my children through your Word in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that my children will be firmly rooted in your Word in Jesus’ name
Hebrews 1:1-2
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
13. Father, I pray that you will open the ears of my children to always listen to your voice in Jesus’ name
Revelation 3:22

14. Father, I pray that you will open the ears of my children to hear from you. Lord, I pray that as they listen to you, you will give them a good judgment in Jesus’ name
John 5:30
By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
15. Father, I pray that as you speak to my children, they will listen and not harden their hearts in Jesus’ name
Ezekiel 3:10-11
And he said to me, “Son of man, listen carefully and take heart all the words I speak to you. Go now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them, “This is what the Sovereign LORD says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen.”
