Thanking God For Igniting His Fire In You

Today, we will be thanking God for igniting His fire in us. You cannot set yourself on fire. If you set yourself on fire, it is suicide. When someone set you on fire, it is murder. So, no one can set you on fire and you will still remain alive. However, when God sets you on fire, it is called revival. It is only God that can set a man on fire and the man will still remain alive.

As we pray today, we have to thank God for the great revival that has taken place in all ages. This fire of revival was ignited in the Church on the day of Pentecost. We have to appreciate God for igniting His fire of revival. The Spirit of God came upon those who were in the upper room in a form of tongue of fire. The scripture says in Act 2 that “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.”

We have to thank God because this fire that started burning on the day of Pentecost is still burning in different parts of the world. You also have to thank God for igniting His fire in you. You have to thank God for igniting His fire in your life and ministry. We also need to thank God for igniting His fire in the lives of our children. If you feel that you have not had the fire of God in your life yet, you still have to thank God in anticipation that He will ignite His fire in your life.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
