Pray That God Will Not Remember Your Sin
Pray That God Will Not Remember Your Sin
Today, you should pray that God will not remember your sin. In the prayer pattern that Jesus taught His disciples, we can realize that we are supposed to pray that God will forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Sin can hinder our prayers and that is why we need to pray that God will not remember our sins. Satan is the accuser of brethren and he constantly goes to God to remind Him of our sins. However, when God has forgiven you, He blots out your sins. So, Satan is only embarking on fruitless efforts because God will tell him that He can not remember those sins.
Hebrews 12:8 says, “For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” The truth is that all our righteousness is just like a filthy rag. Thank God for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all our sins. Hebrews 10:17 says, “Then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” This is our major testimony, that when God forgives our sins, He forgets also. He said that He will remember our lawless deeds no more. He removes our transgressions from us as far as the east is from the west.
Today, we are going to pray that God will purge us and purify us from all forms of unrighteousness that can hinder our prayers. As we are trusting God to remember us for His mercy, we will also pray that He will not remember our sins. We will put on the righteousness of Christ so that before God we will stand justified, not by works, but by grace.
