Praying and Claiming God’s Promises In His Word
Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 6th Edition, Day 5 - Praying and Claiming God's Promises In His Word - Join us on Friday, December 3rd, 2021 for the Night of Divine Encounter between 7pm to 10pm MST. Theme: The Word of God
Claiming God’s Promises In His Word
The Word of God is full of several promises. We can claim those promises and they will become our reality. The reason being that the promises of God are not empty promises. They are backed up by actions. If anyone promises you anything, for you to have the assurance that those promises will be fulfilled, you will want to consider the credibility of the person who promised you. If the person is credible you will know that she or he will keep to the integrity of that word. Our God is not only credible He is also reliable. No matter how credible a man is, he might be alive today and tomorrow he might be no more. In the case of our God, He is the same yesterday today and forever.
Many are ignorant of the promises of God in His Words. Many are conversant about God’s promises but most likely, they don’t have enough faith in God that He is able to fulfil those promises. God expects us to remind Him about His promises and He expects us to have faith that He is capable of doing what He said He will do. Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” This is how certain the Word of God is. Even if heaven and earth passed away God’s Word will still come to pass.
God’s Promises Are Dependable and Reliable
If the Word of God is this dependable and reliable, then we can claim those promises and believe that they shall be fulfilled. Take a look at many Prophets who prophesied about the birth and exploits of Jesus Christ on earth. Many of them did not even live to see those prophecies fulfilled, yet God was faithful to His Word. The Word of God had promised us healing, salvation, prosperity, dominion over the host of darkness, fruitfulness, promotion, and to crown it all, God said He will never leave nor forsake us. It is time to claim those promises as they relate to your situation and circumstance. God is faithful to His Words.
