Praying For Revelation Into the Word of God

Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 6th Edition, Day 4 - Praying For Revelation Into The Word of God - Join us on Friday, December 3rd, 2021 for the Night of Divine Encounter between 7pm to 10pm MST. Theme: The Word of God

Revelation Into God’s Word

We can not grow beyond the revelation that we have into God’s Word. The height or level that we attain in Christ is based on our revelation into the Word of God. Although, there is no favoritism before God, however, our status in Christ differs based on the revelation we have into God’s Word. God distinguished Moses from Aaron and Mariam based on the volume of revelation he had about God and the manner through which God normally spoke to him.

Apostle Paul who did more exploits than other Apostles had a great revelation about who God is. There are some things that God showed him that he was even short of words to explain. He always craves to know God more and more and the power of His resurrection. Apostle Paul had some similarities with Moses. Despite the fact that God was speaking to Moses face to face and mouth to mouth, he wanted to see God physically. Apostle Paul also, despite the fact that he had gone to the third heaven, he was craving to know more of about God.

Your stature in Christ is not determined by your age. It is determined by the volume of your revelation into the Word of God. You might be advanced in age and have grown in stature physically, yet be a baby in Christ and vice versa. Physical maturity differs from spiritual maturity.

To some, the Word of God is a mere letter while to others they have caught the rhema of the Word of God. The unbelievers who are still wallowing in sin are doing so simply because Satan has blinded their eyes so that the Word of God will not be revealed to them. The areas where we suffer today as Christians are the areas where we are yet to have revelation into the Word of God. God said His people perish due to lack of knowledge. The Word of God says that when we know the truth, the truth shall set us free. It means our revelation into God’s Word determines our freedom.

Pray For Revelation Into God’s Word

Today, we are going to pray and personalize the prayer of Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:17-19 which says, “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your  heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength”

Prayer Points

  1. Father, I thank you for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and revelation into your Word. Thank you Lord for your peace that transcends all understanding. Thank you Lord for guarding my hearts and my minds in Christ Jesus

Philippians

 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

2. Father, I pray that as I hold on to your teachings, I will know the truth. I pray that as I know the truth, the truth will set me free in Jesus’ name.

John 8:31-32

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

3. Father, I pray that you will give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know you better. I pray that the eyes of my heart will be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which you have called me, the riches of your glorious inheritance in your holy people.  I pray that I will know the incomparably great power for us who believe in Jesus’ name.

Ephesians 1:17-19

That power is the same as the mighty strength”

4. Father, I pray for great insight and knowledge into your Word so that I can be saved from destruction in Jesus’ name.

Hosea 4:6

my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

5. Lord Jesus, I pray that I will know you and the power of your resurrection and participation in your suffering, becoming like you in your death.

Philippians 3:10

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death

6. Father, I pray that just like you spoke to Moses, you will speak to me face to face. Lord, speak to me clearly and not in riddles. I pray that I will see the form of the Lord and know Him better in Jesus’ name.

Numbers 12:8

With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”

7. Father, I pray that you will not hide anything from me like you did for father Abraham. You will constantly reveal your Word to me Lord in Jesus’ name.

Genesis 18:17-18

Then the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him

8. Father, I pray that you will show me your glory. As i study your Word, I shall be transformed from glory to glory in Jesus’ name

Exodus 33:17-19

17 So the LORD said to Moses, “I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.” 18Then Moses said, “Please show me Your glory.” 19“I will cause all My goodness to pass before you,” the LORD replied, “and I will proclaim My name—the LORD—in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”

9. Father, I pray for those who are currently serving unknown gods, that you will reveal the only true and living God to them. Take them out of darkness and show them your light in Jesus’ name

Acts 17:23

For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you

10. Father, I pray that my generation and generations after me will know you and serve you. Reveal your Word to them Lord and don’t let them forget you nor neglect your Word in Jesus’ name.

Judges 2:10

All that generation also were gathered to their fathers; and there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord, nor yet the work which He had done for Israel.

11. Father, I pray that you will deliver your people from foolishness and reveal yourself to them in Jesus’ name. Give them understanding of your Word and who you are and deliver them from evil. Teach them how to do good as you reveal your Word to them in Jesus’ name.

Jeremiah 4:22

“For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children and have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know.”

12. Father, I pray that I will know you and worship you in Jesus’ name. I pray for more revelation into the Word of God.

John 4:22

You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews

13. Father, I pray for the nation of Canada and all the nations of the world that they will know you and submit to your will in Jesus’ name.

John 15:21

But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.

14. Father, I pray for those who are currently slaves to those wo are by nature are no gods that they will know the true God and serve Him in Jesus’ name

Galatians 4:8

However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods.

15. Father, I pray that I will not be darkened in my understanding and I will not be excluded from the life of God due to ignorance. I pray that I will not harden my heart as your Holy Spirit teaches me your Word in Jesus’ name.

Ephesians 4:18

being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

16. Father, I pray that those hidden truths that you have hidden from the wise and intelligent, you will reveal them to me. I pray that I will have more knowledge of the Father by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name.

Matthew 11:25-27

At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

17. Father, let the unfolding of your words give light and understanding to me in Jesus’ name.

Psalm 119:130

The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

18. Father, I pray that your commandment will be my lamp and your teachings my light in Jesus’ name. I pray for revelation into the Word of God.

Proverbs 6:23

For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; And reproofs for discipline are the way of life

19. Father, I pray for the grace to pay attention to your Word and let it be like a lamp shining in the dark place of my heart until the day dawns and the morning star rises in my hearts.

2 Peter 1:19-21

So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

20. Father, I pray that your good Spirit will instruct me all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. I pray for revelation into the Word of God.

Nehemiah 9:20

“You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, Your manna You did not withhold from their mouth, And You gave them water for their thirst.

21. Father, I pray that the Helper, the Holy Spirit will constantly teach me all things and bring into remembrance all that the Word of God has said to me.

John 14:26

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

22. Father, I pray that the anointing which I have received from God that abides in me will teach me the Word of God. I pray for the grace to abide in Him as He has taught me in Jesus’ name.

1 John 2:27

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him

23. Father, I pray that you will not do anything that you have not revealed to me. I pray that you will reveal your secret counsel to me in Jesus’ name.

Amos 3:7

Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.

24. Father, I pray that I will not be led by flesh and blood but I shall constantly be taught and led by your Spirit in Jesus’ name.

Matthew 16:17

And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven
