Pray That The Lord Will Roll Away Your Shame
Pray That The Lord Will Roll Away Your Shame
Today, you should pray that God will roll away your shame. Shame is a painful emotion caused by the consciousness of guilt, shortcomings, or impropriety. One of the primary missions of Jesus is to roll away our shame. He died a shameful death on the cross of Calvary so that you will not experience shame. God promised us in His Word that He will give us a double portion instead of shame. So, there is a guarantee of a double portion of God’s blessings for you.
Barrenness could be a shameful experience. You can imagine what Hannah went through when she was trusting God for a child. Eventually, God answered her by giving her many children. Likewise, Rebecca, after waiting on God for twenty years, received a double portion. God gave her twins.
Seek God’s Power to Transform Your Shame into Glory
Sin breeds shame. However, when you surrender your life to God and walk in the center of His will, He will roll away your shame. 1 John 2:28 (NIV) says, “And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.” The only way for you not to be ashamed at Jesus’ coming is to continue in Him. According to Daniel 12:2, we realize that those who work against God’s will live in shame forever and ever. While the godly will enjoy life that lasts forever, the ungodly will suffer shame that will last forever.
God also promised us in His Word that those who seek Him will not experience shame (Zechariah 3:5). This means that when you pray, God will roll away your shame. Romans 10:11 also says that anyone who believes will never be put to shame. This means that as you are seeking the Lord, you should also trust Him. You need to have faith in God if you want God to roll away your shame. As you pray today, I pray that God will roll away your shame in Jesus’ name.
