Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 10th Edition, Day 2 - Praying For Peace In The Midst Storm - Join us on Friday, May 6th, 2022 for the Night of Divine Encounter between 7pm to 10pm MST. Theme- The Storm Is Over

Praying For Peace In The Midst Storm

Today, we are going to be praying for peace in the midst of a storm. What is a storm? A storm is a violent disturbance of the atmosphere with strong winds and usually rain, thunder, lightning, or snow. It is also defined as a tumultuous reaction, an uproar or controversy. God has the capacity to calm every storm in your life. In every way you have been experiencing storms, I decree that the storm is over in Jesus’ name.

There was a time when the disciples were inside the boat and the waves broke over the boat that it nearly swamped. The disciples were troubled and disturbed but Jesus was calm and sleeping. The disciples woke Him up and they thought that Jesus did not care if they drowned.  When Jesus woke up, He spoke to the wind and said, “Quiet be still!” Instantly, the storm became calm. Jesus brought permanent peace in the midst of a storm. I command that you will receive peace in the midst of every storm in your life in Jesus’ name.

The Storm in The Ship To Tarshish

There was a time that God called Jonah and told him to go to Nineveh but he fled to Tarshish. On his way to Tarshish, he boarded a ship and they experienced a great storm in that ship. What this means is that, the storm you are experiencing today could be as a result of disobedience to God. The storm was so severe that all the people in the ship had to throw all their belongings into the sea, yet, the storm did not stop. Jonah had to tell them to throw him into the sea. Immediately after they did that the storm became calm. If we can get rid of sin in our lives today, we will experience peace in the midst of a storm.

Also, there was a time Apostle Paul was traveling to  Rome after his meeting with Agrippa. Festus made an arrangement for him to be taken to Rome. There was a great storm along their journey. However God assured Paul that they would land safely and they eventually did. I don’t know what manner of storm you might be going through. We serve a God that can calm every storm. He will give you peace in the midst of the storm in Jesus’ name.
