Praise God In Advance

Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 3rd Edition, Day 1 - Praise God In Advance - August 28th, 2021. Theme: The Book of Remembrance

Praising God In Advance is a Requirement for Lifting

You can praise God in advance for what He will do. Praising God in advance is a strategy that was used many times in the scripture. It brings into manifestation what God is about to do. God expects us not to forget all His benefits according to Psalm 103:1-3. He expects us to worship Him for what He has done. However, it is an act of faith to praise God in the midst of trials, persecution, need or intimidation.

Jesus thanked God in advance

He blessed the two loaves of bread and two fishes even when the bread and fish are yet to multiply. In the face of an imminent need, Jesus praised God, the bread multiplied and five thousand men were fed. Praising God in advance even while in need can bring a great provision.

Luke 9:16

“Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.”

Jesus also thanked God in advance at the tomb of Lazarus. After thanking God, he called Lazarus from the tomb, a man who had died for four days. Lazarus heard him and he came back to life. Praising God in advance can redeem and irredeemable situation

John 11:41-42

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

Jehoshaphat praised God in advance

When three nations waged a war against the nation of Judah, Jehoshaphat was fearful. He cried unto God and God promised them victory. Even when Jehoshaphat had not seen the victory, he appointed singers to worship God and all the three nations were defeated afterwards. We should learn to praise God in advance even in the midst of overwhelming trouble and God will give us a great deliverance.

2 Chronicles 20:21

“Jehoshaphat asked the people for advice. Then he appointed men to sing to the Lord. He wanted them to praise the Lord because of his glory and holiness. They marched out in front of the army. They said, “Give thanks to the Lord. His faithful love continues forever.”

Paul and Silas worshipped God in advance

When Paul and Silas were thrown into the prison, beaten mercilessly and chained like criminals, they prayed and worshipped God. Despite the fact that they have not seen the victory, they worshipped God and God broke their chains and set them free afterward. Are you in chains today and are you currently imprisoned by the devil? Praise God in advance and He will send you a great deliverance

Acts 16:25-26

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”

Prayer Points

Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.

7. Thank God in advance for restoring the fortune of the land unto you. Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good and His love endures forever

“The sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord, saying, “Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; his love endures forever.” For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the Lord.”
