Pray For An Unusual Encounter
Today, we will be praying for an unusual encounter. There are so many occurrences in the scriptures where people have an unusual encounter. When God called a man like Abraham to leave home country and go to a land that He will show him, that is strange. I believe that could be the reason why Terah, his father, did not allow him to go alone. Terah led the journey and they settled down in Haran. Abraham only continued the journey when his father died. You can also have a strange encounter like Abraham especially when God wants to give you a higher calling. This encounter by Abraham made him a father of many nations. I pray that you will also have an unusual encounter in Jesus’ name.
Moses Had An Unusual Encounter With God
Moses also had an unusual encounter. He saw that the bush was burning and the bush was not consumed by the fire. He had to go over and check why the bush was burning and yet not consume. That was when God spoke to him and gave him his assignment. God told him that he had heard the cry of the Israelites in Egypt and He was ready to deliver them from their bondage. You can have a strange encounter like this when God wants to give you a special assignment. He will reveal Himself to you in an unusual way so as to give you the conviction that He is the one calling. In that encounter, the rod of Moses turned into a snake. When he picked the snake by the tail, the snake later turned into a rod. These are strange encounters.
Paul Had An Unusual Encounter With Jesus
Paul also had an unusual encounter with Jesus. Jesus must have known that Apostle Paul would be a very hard fish to catch if He had sent the disciples to preach to him. He would probably have killed them or jailed them. So, Jesus had to appear to him by Himself. By that unusual encounter, he heard a strange voice that told him that it is a hard thing to kick against the pricks. Jesus told him that he was persecuting Him by persecuting the church. Instantly, Apostle Paul was blind for about three days. After that encounter, he began to witness the same Jesus whom he had persecuted. When you have an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, you will all understand God’s plans and purpose for you and you will be able to fulfill it.
I pray that you will have an unusual encounter with the Lord that will change your life forever. You will make a generational impact and your impact will transcend your generation in Jesus’ name.

Jeremiah 31:34

2. Father, I pray that you will reveal your Word to me. Lord, I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal you to me and I will have an unusual encounter with you in Jesus’ name
John 4:42
And they were saying to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world.”
3. Father, I pray that you will enlighten me and let me taste the heavenly gifts. Lord, I pray that you will make me a partaker of the Holy Spirit and I will taste your good Word in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will have an unusual encounter with you in Jesus’ name
Hebrews 6:4-5
For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come
4. Father, I pray that you will reveal yourself to me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will give me a great understanding of the scriptures in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will have an unusual encounter with you in Jesus’ name
Matthew 22:29
But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God.
5. Father, I pray for the grace to always receive your Word with great eagerness in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that I will have an unusual encounter with your Word and let it change my life forever in Jesus’ name
Acts 17:11-12
Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.
6. Father, I pray that my children will have an unusual encounter from their childhood. I pray that they will know the sacred writings which are able to give them wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:15-17
“And that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
7. Father, I pray that I will have an unusual encounter with you. I pray that you will reveal to me what eyes have not seen, what ear has not heard, and what has not entered the heart of man. Father, I pray that you will reveal to me by your Spirit all that you have prepared for those who love you. I pray that I will know the depths of God
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
“But just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.” For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
8. Father, I pray that I will begin to hear and perceive by ear great and mighty things that you have in store for me. Lord, I pray that you will open my eyes to see into the supernatural realm and let me know that there is no God besides you. Father, I pray that I will know that you are the God who acts on behalf of the one who waits for you..
Isaiah 64:4
For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.
9. Father, I pray that you will make your great covenant with me like you did for Abraham. Lord, I pray that I will have an unusual encounter with you and you will begin to speak to me face to face like for Moses and the Israelites in Jesus’ name
Deuteronomy 5:3-4
The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of us alive here today. The Lord spoke to you face to face at the mountain from the midst of the fire.
