Praying Against Financial Storms
Today, we will be praying against financial storms. Many homes are having financial crises. The turbulence in some homes is due to lack of finance. The misunderstanding and quarrels sometimes are due to financial instability. Financial storms can debar you from attaining the heights you need to attain. You need money to power your dreams and visions. Lack of finance could determine how far you can go in attaining your goals. Deuteronomy 8:18 says, “But you shall earnestly remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
There was a time when there was a financial storm in Samaria. It degenerated to the extent that some started eating their children. However, God intervened through Prophet Elisha. 2 Kings 7: 1 says, “Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the LORD! This is what the LORD says: ‘About this time tomorrow at the gate of Samaria, a seah of fine flour will sell for a shekel, and two seahs of barley will sell for a shekel.’ ”
God has the capacity to put an end to financial storms. The financial storms actually came to an end according to the Word of God spoken through Elisha. I pray and decree that all the financial storms in your life are coming to an end today in Jesus’ name.
God Can Deliver You From a Financial Storms
Also, there was this story in the bible of a widow who experienced some financial storms. She was a wife of a man from the company of the prophets. The husband of the widow revered the Lord and served God well before his death, yet he left some debt for the family. This shows that you can be righteous and serve God well, yet, still witness financial storms. The creditor came to take the two sons as slave so the widow cried unto Elijah for help. Elijah asked her for what she had at home and she said it was just a jar of oil. Prophet Elijah prophesied upon that jar of oil and God blessed the widow through the jar of oil. She paid up all her debt and she still had a lot to live on after she sold the gallons of oil. You can read the account from 2 Kings chapter 4.
God can bless you through what you have
From the story of this widow, we can see that most of the time, we have all that we need for our financial breakthrough within us. In the case of this woman, it was a jar of oil. For some God might have blessed you with intellectual capital and you might need to convert that into financial capital. Solomon converted his intellectual capital into financial capital. Solomon was so wise that people are willing to pay just to listen to his wisdom. The queen of Sheba came from afar and gave him a lot of gifts after listening to him.
There might be others who have social capital which they might need to convert into financial capital. Joseph had a social capital. He had helped the chief butler while he was in prison. It was the chief butler who recommended Joseph to king Pharaoh and he was promoted. At times, you just need one recommendation for you to be lifted out of a financial storm. I pray that today, God will intervene in your life and deliver you from all forms of financial storms in Jesus’ name.
