Praying For A Divine Encounter By God’s Word
Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 6th Edition, Day 7 - Praying For A Divine Encounter By God's Word - Join us on Friday, December 3rd, 2021 for the Night of Divine Encounter between 7pm to 10pm MST. Theme: The Word of God
A Divine Encounter Through God’s Word
Today, we will be praying for a divine encounter. Going through the scriptures, we will see several unusual encounters about men who came in contact with the Word of God. Moses was initially trying to deliver his people by his own strength, but he fled because he was incapacitated. When he encountered the Word of God, he was able to do what he could not do ordinarily. He was able to face Pharaoh, the same king he ran away from and he delivered his people. Hannah was unable to conceive for many years, but the day she had a supernatural encounter with the Word of God, she conceived and subsequently had many children.
There is a high probability that no one would have known father Abraham if not for his encounter with the Word of God. Today, through Abraham, all the nations on earth are blessed. How could someone like Mary conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit if not for her encounter with the Word of God. Daniel had various encounters with the Word of God. No wonder he was reigning with kings who were world rulers during their reign. Daniel was dining with several kings and he was occupying high positions due to his unusual encounter with God.
Extraordinary Encounters by Prophets
We have several respectable prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel just to mention but a few who had encounters with the Word of God. These were ordinary men who did extraordinary exploits due to their encounter with the Word of God. They gave great prophecies and some of those prophecies were fulfilled thousand of years after. They could see into the future die to their unusual encounter with God’s Word. Apostle Paul was going on a wrong path until he had an encounter with the Word of God, Jesus Christ. He would have been notorious for his negative impact on the Church but that encounter turned him to a great Apostle.
Do You Need A Divine Encounter?
You have not seen the best of you yet if you have not had an encounter with the Word of God. You don’t know the exploits you are capable of doing yet, until you have an encounter with the Word of God. The world is waiting for your manifestation but you can not really manifest until you have an encounter with God’s Word.
Considering the life of Moses, he had no significant achievement until he had an encounter with the Word of God. At the age of eighty, he was still living with his father-in-law tendering his flock. He had no business he could call his own at that age. History would not have favored Moses but for his encounter with the Word of God. As you partake in this prayer, you will also encounter God’s Word and your life will never remain the same again in Jesus’ name.

4 I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, 5 and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was human, 6 but each of them had four faces and four wings.

8. Pray that the Word of God will come to you and you will constantly receive direction from the Lord in Jesus’ name. Pray that God will give you the spirit of obedience and you will always follow God’s instructions
Jonah 1:1-4

3 But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.
4 Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up

3 Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. 4 Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.”
10. Pray that all your persecutors will encounter the Word of God and they will not be able to carry out their murderous threats in Jesus’ name
Acts 9:1-4
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
11. Pray that the Lord will send His Word to you and give you direction in your business in Jesus’ name. Pray that you will experience a supernatural abundance by the Word of God.
Luke 5:4-8
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”
12. Pray that the Lord will repeat every miracle He has performed in your life before over and over again by His Word in Jesus’ name
John 21:1-6
Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (also known as Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. 3 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”
“No,” they answered.
6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
14. Pray that the Word of the Lord will come to you and empower you to start fishing for men in Jesus’ name

John 5:5-9
Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity, thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.
