Pray That Your Sons And Daughters Will Prophesy
Today, we will be praying that our sons and daughters will prophesy. God expects our sons and daughters to be baptized with the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 14:5 says, “I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.” Here Apostle Paul was admonishing us that He wish that we should speak in tongues and that we should rather prophesy. The prophetic ministry is very important for the great move of God in this generation.
Moreover, what Apostle Paul said is in line with God’s promise for our sons and daughters as recorded in the book of Joel. Joel 2:28 says, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” Prophecy as stated here is as a result of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God expects our sons and daughters to start operating in the prophetic realm. I pray that our sons and daughters will be filled with the Holy Spirit and they will prophesy in Jesus’ name.
Four Philip’s Daughters Prophesied
Philip has four daughters. The Word of God records that his four daughters were prophesying. Acts 8:28-29 says, “Leaving the next day, we reached Caesarea and stayed at the house of Philip the evangelist, one of the Seven. He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.” This is the fulfilment of what God says in Joel 2:28. This shows that all your sons and daughters can truly prophesy. They can start operating in the prophetic. The prophetic ministry is not only beneficial to you. It will edify the Church. God will use your children to reveal the mind of God to the Church. I pray that your sons and daughters will prophesy in Jesus’ name
Prayer Points
- Father, I pray that you will pour your Spirit upon our sons and daughters. I pray that our sons and daughters will prophesy in Jesus’ name
Joel 2:28
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
2. Father, I pray that you will pour your Spirit from on high upon our sons and daughters. Lord, I pray that our desert will become a fertile field and there will be a great revival in the land through our sons and daughters in Jesus’ name.
Isaiah 32:15
“Till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.
3. Father, I pray that you will pour your Spirit on our children in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that as you pour your Spirit, our sons and daughters will be filled with the Spirit and start porphesying in Jesus’ name
Ezekiel 39:29
I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
4. Father, I pray that you will pour the Spirit of grace and supplication upon our sons and daughters in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that our sons and daughters will prophesy according to your Word in Jesus’ name
Zechariah 12:10
And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
5. Father, I pray that you will baptize our sons and daughters with your Spirit and fire in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that our sons and daughters shall prophesy in Jesus’ name
John 7:39
By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
6. Father, I pray that you will pour your Spirit on all people according to your Word. Lord, we pray that our sons and daughters will prophesy and do great exploits for you in Jesus’ name.
Acts 2:17
‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
7. Father, I pray that you will pour your Spirit upon our sons and daughters just like you did for Philip’s daughters. I pray that our sons and daughters will prophesy according to your Word in Jesus’ name
Acts 21:8-9
Leaving the next day, we reached Caesarea and stayed at the house of Philip the evangelist, one of the Seven.9 He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.
8. Father, I pray that just like Samuel started operating in the prophetic right from a tender age, our sons and daughters will prophesy in Jesus’ name
1 Samuel 3:8-9
A third time the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.” Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
9. Father, I pray that our sons and daughters will speak in new tongues. I pray that they will not only speak in tongues but they will start prophesying in Jesus’ name.
