Pray that you will enjoy spiritual rest

Entering Into God's Rest, deliver from worry

Today, we will pray that we will enjoy spiritual rest. God sent Jesus Christ to this world to die for our sins so that we can have spiritual rest from the consequences of sins. Romans 6:14 (NIV) says, “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.” If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, sin is still your master. It means that  you are still under the rulership of Satan. There is no rest for anyone who is under the rulership of Satan. It is only God that can give you rest.

If you don’t have peace you will hardly have rest. Peace of mind gives birth to a rest of mind. Isaiah 48:22 (NLT) says, “But there is no peace for the wicked,” says the LORD.” The wicked are those who have refused to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. If you are still living in sin, God considers you as wicked. After you have seen the great price that Jesus Christ paid for your sins, if you refused to give your life to Him, that is wickedness. If you want to have a spiritual rest, then you have to be translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

God Gave His People Rest

There is rest for God’s people. Hebrews 4:9 (NKJV) says, “There remains therefore rest for the people of God.” Those who will have this rest were clearly defined. The rest is for God’s people. You can only be qualified to be God’s people if you have surrendered your life to Him. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”  There is peace for those whose minds are steadfast especially if they trust in God. As we pray today, I pray that you will enjoy spiritual rest in Jesus’ name.
