Praying For Supernatural Strength

Praying For Supernatural Strength

Today, we will be praying for supernatural strength. God is our strength and our shield and He has the capacity to give us supernatural strength. When you wait upon God, you will automatically receive an unusual strength to do a greater exploit. Isaiah 40:31 says, “But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” The Lord will give you the supernatural strength to run the race and not grow weary.  Also, the book of Philuppians 4:13 says,” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” It means that there is strength to do all things and that strength comes from Jesus.

In the book of Isaiah 41:10, this scripture says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This means that lack of supernatural strength can bring fear.. The Israelites were fearful when Goliath confronted the nation. Goliath was speaking boastful words for forty days and the Israelites were fearful and perplexed. However, when David, the man whom God has given supernatural strength, stepped in, he was able to confront Goliath. Supernatural strength enables you to confront your fear and to overcome it.

God Gave Elijah Supernatural Strength

There was a time when Jazabel harassed Elijah and told him that she would cut off his head. Elijah was afraid and ran away. He had just confronted the prophets of Baal before then and killed all the prophets of Baal. However, he was afraid of death when Jezebel confronted him. God sent His angel to give him supernatural food and he received strength afterwards. By this strength, he was able to fast for forty days and forty nights. He received supernatural strength to continue the journey afterwards. As we pray today, the Lord will give us supernatural strength to do greater exploits in Jesus’ name.

Special Bible Passage

1 Kings 19:3-8

And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. 6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. 7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. 8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
