Praying That You Will See The Visions of God
Today, we will be praying that we will start seeing the visions of God. In the book of Ezekiel 1:1, the scripture says, “In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.” In this verse, we realized that Ezekiel noted the exact date that he saw the visions of God. I pray that today, you will start seeing the visions of God. Ezekiel was able to describe vividly where he was when he saw this vision. He was among the exiles by the Kebar River when he saw the vision. Despite the fact that he was in exile, he saw the visions of God. This means that your location or situation is not even a barrier to seeing the vision of God.
Ezekiel’s Encounter With God Made Him A Prolific Prophet
We have a total of forty-eight chapters in the Book of Ezekiel. He saw the visions of God in the first chapter. Since then, the Word of God started coming to him so powerfully that he wrote forty-eight chapters. It means that when you start seeing the visions of God, the Word of God will start coming to you.
Today, as we pray, you will start seeing the visions of God. Joel 2:28 says, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” In this verse, we realized that seeing the visions of God is an outcome of the outpouring of the Spirit of God. I pray that the Lord will pour out His Spirit on you today and you will start seeing the visions of God.
A Natural Person Can Not Discern The Things of The Spirit
In 1 Corinthians 2:14, we realized that a natural person does accept the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually discerned. So, the things of the Spirit are folly to such people. Who is a natural person? A natural person is someone who has not had an encounter with the Supernatural God. He or she is an unbeliever who still derives pleasure in sinning. A natural person is someone who is yet to accept Jesus Christ as his or her personal Lord and Savior. It will be difficult for such people to start seeing the visions of God.
However, we have few exceptions. Apostle Paul started seeing the visions of God when he was still a persecutor. Abraham had the voice of God to step out of his father’s house even while they were worshiping idols in the City of Ur of the Chaldeans. However, when an unbeliever sees the visions of God, the plan of God is to call such an unbeliever out of darkness into God’s marvelous light. Are you still an unbeliever? I pray that you will start seeing the visions of God as a result of open heavens in Jesus’ name.
Cornelius and Peter Saw The Visions of God
Cornelius was another man who saw the visions of God. In Acts 10:3, the scripture says, “About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.” In the subsequent verses in the chapter, the angel of the Lord told him how to be saved. God told him to reach out to Apostle Peter so that he can share the gospel to him and his household. He was a Gentile, and at this time, Peter would not have wanted to identify with him.
Despite the fact that God told the disciples to go to the whole world and preach the gospel, the Apostles were concentrating more on the Jews and not the Gentiles prior to this time. In Acts 10:9-16, God had to show Peter a vision also, so that he will not decline to follow the messengers that Cornelius sent to him. I pray for you today that all your benefactors will also start seeing the visions of God in Jesus’ name.
As we pray today, I pray that you will experience open heavens and you will start seeing the visions of God in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points
- Father, I thank you for the grace you have given me to continue to live my life in you. Lord, I thank you because I am rooted and built up in you. Thank you Lord for strengthening me in the faith and for giving me open heavens. Lord, I thank you for giving me visions of God.
Colossians 2:6-7
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
2. Father, I pray that today, you will open my eyes to start seeing the visions of God. I pray that as a result of this, the Word of God will start coming to me powerfully in Jesus’ name
Ezekiel 1:1

3. Father, I pray that you will open my eyes to start seeing visions that will change my world for good. Lord, I receive the grace to constantly keep the law
Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.
4. Father, I pray that you will pour out your Spirit upon me and as a result, I will start seeing visions of God. Lord, I pray that you will open the heavens unto me and pour out your Spirit on me.
Joel 2:28
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.”
5. Father, I pray that I will stop operating in the natural realm. As from today, I pray that I will begin to operate in the realm of the Supernatural so that I can accept the things of the Spirit of God. Lord, I pray that you will increase my spiritual antenna so that I can discern the spiritually things
1 Corinthians 2:14
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
6. Father, I pray that you will open heavens on my childrens and they will start seeing the visions of God
1 Samuel 3:1
Now the young man Samuel was ministering to the Lord under Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.
7. Father, I pray that I will no longer focus on things that are seen but I will focus on things that are unseen. Lord, I pray that I will no longer focus on carnal things but I will focus on things that are eternal
2 Corinthians 4:18
As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
8. Father, I pray that I will experience an open heaven and I will start seeing the visions of God clearly in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that I will start hearing heavenly voices in Jesus’ name
Acts 10:3
About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.”
9. Father, I pray that you will open my eyes to start seeing the visions of God. Lord, I pray that by these visions that you will show me, I will have a clear direction in ministry in Jesus’ name
Acts 16:9
And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
10. Father, I pray that I will receive the visions of God that will strengthen me to keep speaking and preaching the gospel. Lord, I pray that by the virtue of these visions, I will not be silent in Jesus’ name
Acts 18:9
And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent.”
11. Father, I pray that I will experience the outpouring of your Spirit in Jesus’ name. As a result of this outpouring, I pray that I will begin to see the visions of God in Jesus’ name
Acts 2:17
“‘And in the last days it shall be,” God declares, “that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”
12. Father, I pray that you will start showing visions about me to my destiny helpers in Jesus’ name
Acts 9:10
Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”
13. Father, I pray that you will reveal my helpers of destiny to me through visions in Jesus’ name
Acts 9:12
And he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.
14. Father, I pray that you will begin to reveal your secret to me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that I will never be in the dark
Amos 3:7
For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
15. Father, I pray that your Word will start coming to me in a vision in Jesus’ name.
Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”
16. Father, I pray I will start seeing into the realm of the supernatural in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that I will have an encounter that will change my life forever in Jesus’ name
Genesis 28:12
And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!
17. Father, I pray that you will start appearing to me in my dreams in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will constantly reveal the plans of the enemies to me and give me instructions that will keep me safe.
Matthew 2:13
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.”
18. Father, I pray that you will start terrifying my enemies in their dreams and visions in Jesus’ name. I pray that you contend with all who are opposed to your plans for me in their dreams in Jesus’ name
Matthew 27:19
“Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, ‘Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream.’”
19. Father, I pray that you will rebuke kings for my sake in their dreams in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will suffer no man to do me wrong
Genesis 20:3
But God came to Abimelek in a dream one night and said to him, “You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.”
20. Father, I pray that you will start speaking to me in my visions and in my dreams in Jesus’ name
Numbers 12:6
And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.”
21. Father, I pray that I will begin to see the vision of the Almighty, falling down with my eyes uncovered. Lord, I pray that I will see clearly in Jesus’ name.
Numbers 24:4
The oracle of him who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down with his eyes uncovered.
22. Father, I pray that you will start speaking to me through visions in Jesus’ name
Psalm 89:19
Of old you spoke in a vision to your godly one, and said: “I have granted help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.”
23. Father, I pray that I will begin to see the revelation of Jesus Christ. I pray for the grace to know Jesus the more, and to understand the fellowship of His suffering
Revelation 1:1
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.
24. Father, I pray that you will open my eyes to see into the future in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will reveal to me the deep things of God
Revelation 15:2
And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands.
25. Father, I pray that I will see open heavens in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray for an encounter that will change my life forever
Revelation 15:5
After this I looked, and the sanctuary of the tent of witness in heaven was opened.
26. Father, I pray that you will open my eyes to see deep things. Lord, I pray that you will show me heavenly visions and my life and ministry should not remain the same again
Revelation 22:1
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
27. Father, I pray that you will reveal your plans and purpose to me through visions in Jesus’ name
Exodus 3:1-5
Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3 So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”
4 When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!”
And Moses said, “Here I am.”
5 “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
