Pray That You Will Be Strong In God’s Mighty Power
Today, we will pray that we will be strong in God’s mighty power. Many derive their strength from different sources. Some derive their strength in strange gods while some derive their strength from hard drugs. Some derive their strength in money or mammon while others derive their strength from politics. There are different forms of power. We have informational power, financial power, political power and devilish power. However, the scripture says that we should be strong in God’s mighty power. Our God is the omnipotent God. He is all powerful and he should be our source of power.
Apostle Paul defined the source of his strength. He said that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him (Philippians 4:13). Here, we realized that Jesus Christ was the source of Paul’s strength. Invariably, Paul was saying that without Jesus, he could do nothing. He also advised us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Ephesians 6:10). Paul through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit admonished us to put on the whole armour of God, so that we can fight the devil’s schemes.
Fighting Our Battles With God’s Armour
As Christians, we are all fighting the good fight of faith. However, we need God’s strength to fight because we are not wrestling against flesh and blood. We are wrestling against principalities, powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. God said in His Word that we should put on His full armour. We can only derive our strength from God’s armour. We need the shield of faith, the breastplate of righteousness, the sword of the Spirit and the helmet of salvation. All these are not physical weapons but the spiritual weapons that we fight with.
We also realize from the scriptures that God can only answer our prayers according to His power at work in us. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” God’s power within us will give us everything that we are trusting Him for. God will give us immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. As we pray today, I pray that we will be strong in God’s power in Jesus’ name.

Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
2. Father, I pray for the grace to constantly put on your full armour in Jesus’ name. Lord, I claim my authority over rulers, against authorities, against powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I pray that I will be strong in God’s mighty power in Jesus’ name.
Ephesians 6:11-12
Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
3. Father, I pray that you will strengthen me in my inner mind in Jesus’ name. I pray that as I put on your full armor, I will be able to stand my ground when the day of evil comes.
Ephesians 6:13
Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
4. Father, I pray for the grace to stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around my waist and with the breastplate of righteousness in place. Lord, I pray that my feet will be constantly fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
Ephesians 6:14-15
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
5. Father, I pray that I will be strong in your mighty power in Jesus’ name. I pray that as I take up my shield of faith, I will extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one in Jesus’ name.
Ephesians 6:16
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Praying For Divine Strength
6. Father, I pray that I will be strong in your mighty power in Jesus’ name. I pray that my head will constantly be protected by the helmet of salvation and I receive the grace to fight and win my battles through the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Ephesians 6:17
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
7. Father, I pray that you will make me strong in your mighty power. Lord, I receive the grace to constantly pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. I receive the grace to be alert and to always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people in Jesus’ name.
Ephesians 6:18
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
8. Father, I pray that you will give me strength for the assignment that you have given to me in Jesus’ name.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
9. Father, I pray that your power will continually be at work within me. Lord, I pray that by your power, you will do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine
Ephesians 3:20
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
10. Father, I pray that your grace will always be sufficient for me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that your power will be made perfect in my weakness in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will be strong in God’s mighty power.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
