Pray That God Will Make You A Custodian Of His Secrets
Pray That God Will Make You A Custodian Of His Secrets
Today, we will be praying that God will make you a custodian of His secrets. Deuteronomy 29:29 says, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.” God knows all secrets. Nothing is hidden in His eyes. If you have any question, all you have to do is go to God. He has the answers to all your questions. However, according to the scriptures, God only reveals His secrets to His sons. If you are not one of His sons, you might not have access to His secrets. So, for God to make you a custodian of His secrets, you have to give your life to Him. It is only those who believe in Him that he has given the power to become the sons of God.
Jesus Revealed More Secrets To His Closest Disciples
Jesus Christ normally spoke in parables to the outsiders while He was on earth. He will however reveal the meaning of these parables to His disciples. Matthew 13:11 says, “Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.” The closer you are to Jesus, the more the secrets He will reveal to you. There were some secrets that Jesus revealed to Peter, James and John which He did not reveal to all other Apostles.
When Jesus took these three to the Mount of Transfiguration, He told them not to reveal the secrets to others until after His resurrection (Mark 9:9-10). We also realize that out of these three disciples that Jesus was closed to, He was closer to John. No wonder, John was the one who wrote the book of revelation and these are deep mysteries.
Other Ways To Be A Custodian Of God’s Secrets
Another way to be a custodian of God’s secrets is to fear the Lord. Psalm 25:14 says, “The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant.” God normally reveals His secrets to those who fear Him. When God was about to destroy the city of Sodom and Gomorrah, He revealed the secret to Abraham whom He described as His friend. Abraham was the friend of God because he feared God. God also attest to the fact that Abraham will command his children to do His will. If you also fear the Lord, you will be a custodian of God’s secrets.
Daniel, while referring to God in Daniel 2:22 says, “It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.” If there is anything that is shrouded in secrecy and you want this unraveled, all you need to do is to talk to God. The closer you are to God, the more the secrets He will reveal to you. Moses was very close to God and God revealed His secrets to him by speaking to him face to face and mouth to mouth. As we pray today, I pray that God will make you the custodian of His secrets in Jesus’ name.
