The Word of God Can Give You Divine Direction
God’s Word has the capacity to give you a divine direction. Google creates a web mapping platform and consumer application known as Google Maps. It offers satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps, 360 degree interactive panoramic views of streets, real-time traffic conditions, and route planning for travelling by foot, car, air and public transportation. Most of the time, we just need to know the address of where we are going to, input the address and it will give you a direction. As smart as Google Maps is, it has some limitations. It can only show you the direction of where you should go if you already have the address.
However, when God leads you, even when you are confused and you don’t know where you should go, the Word of God will give you the exact location and also show you the direction. You might not have a location in view, but the Word of God will show you the direction. At times, the Word of God will show you an unusual direction. He can tell you that there is a path in the Red sea. God’s Word can make a way on the River Jordan. God’s Word can make a way where there seems to be no way.
Divine Direction in Ministry By God’s Word
The Word of God can give you a direction in ministry. Paul and Silas had to rely on the Word of God for their ministry journey. The Word of God can give you direction concerning your children. God told Rebecca about the two nations inside her womb. Even prior to their birth, God told her that the elder will serve the younger. David was constantly victorious in all his battles because he relied on the Word of God for direction before taking any step.
We can also miss it if we don’t follow the direction of the Word of God. King Saul’s reign in Israel would have been established in Israel forever. But he did not follow all the directions of the Word of God when God told him to destroy the Amalekites. On your journey to the kingdom of heaven, it is only the Word of God that is capable of giving you direction. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and Life. The direction to God is through Jesus. You can not have access to the Father except through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. What that means is that without the Word of God, you will walk in darkness. Allow God’s Word to give you direction so that you will not stumble in your Christian race. If you acknowledge God in all your ways, He shall direct your path.

- Father, I thank you because your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path. Thank you Lord for constantly guiding me.

2. Father, I pray that your Word will constantly lead me on where to go and the steps to take. I pray for the grace to continually keep your charge according to your commands.
Numbers 9:23
At the command of the Lord they camped, and at the command of the Lord they set out; they kept the Lord’s charge, according to the command of the Lord through Moses.
3. Father, give me direction by your Word. I pray that I will constantly be moved by the Holy Spirit
2 Peter 1:21
“For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
4. Father, speak your Word to me and give me a divine direction for my life in Jesus’ name
Genesis 12:1
Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives. And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you;
5. Father, lead me by your Word to the land where you want me to settle and be established in my business, ministry and in every areas of my life in Jesus’ name
Genesis 31:3
Then the Lord said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you.”
6. Father, I pray that by your Word, you will give me a direction about how to confront my Pharaoh in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will give me victory by your Word over all my enemies.
Exodus 3:10
Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.”
7. Father, by your Word, lead me to the land that you have given me and my household in Jesus’ name
Joshua 1:2
Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.
8. Father, I pray that by your Word you will lead me into victory over all the forces that are against me in Jesus’ name
Joshua 6:14
The Lord looked at him and said, “Go in this your strength and deliver Israel from the hand of Midian. Have I not sent you?”
9. Father, I pray that by your Word you will constantly give me direction and fight my battles for me in jesus’ name.
2 Samuel 5:19
Then David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand.”
10. Father, I pray that you will send your Word to me and give me an accurate direction about my life. Lead me by your Word Lord to where my provision is in Jesus’ name
1 Kings 17:3-4
“Go away from here and turn eastward, and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. It shall be that you will drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to provide for you there.”
11. Father, I pray that you will lead me by your Word to my helper of destiny in Jesus’ name
1 Kings 17:9
“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there; behold, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”
12. Father, lead me by your Word and give me the boldness to confront every forces like that of Ahab that is against me in Jesus’ name. Lord, give me a divine direction by your Word.
1 Kings 18:1
Now it happened after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the face of the earth.”
13. Father, lead my destiny helpers by your Word to give me what you have prepared and ordained for me from the foundation of the world
1 Kings 19:15
The Lord said to him, “Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and when you have arrived, you shall anoint Hazael king over Aram;
14. Father, lead me by your Word and reveal the secrets of those who are plotting evil against me in Jesus’ name. Give me victory over the evil ones by your Word and give me a divine direction in Jesus’ name.
1 Kings 21:18-19
“Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who is in Samaria; behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth where he has gone down to take possession of it.
You shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Have you murdered and also taken possession?”’ And you shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord, “In the place where the dogs licked up the blood of Naboth the dogs will lick up your blood, even yours.”
15. Father, I pray that you will reveal your Word to me and give me the boldness to speak your Word to kings and those in authority without fear and favor in Jesus’ name
2 Kings 1:3
But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and say to them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?’
