Pray That God Almighty Will Fight For You

Pray That God Almighty Will Fight For You

Today, we will pray that God Almighty will fight our battles for us. There are some battles you can not fight by yourself except God fights for you. Tell me, who could have defended Joseph when Portiphar’s wife lied against him? The husband would rather believe the wife than to believe Joseph. So, Joseph was sent into the prison for a sin he did not commit. At that stage, if the Lord, God Almighty, had not delivered him from the prison, no one else would have been able to deliver him. God rescued him from the prison and took him to the palace. I pray that the same God who rescued Joseph from the prison will fight for you in Jesus’ name.

God Fought For The Three Hebrews

When the three Hebrews said no to king Nebuchadnezzar and refused to worship his idol, there was no one to rescue them from the king’s fiery furnace except God. The three Hebrews also knew that it is only God that can rescue them. They told the king that God is able to rescue them from the fiery furnace. They also said that if God refused to rescue them, they were willing to die. The king ordered that they should be thrown into the fiery furnace. However, the Lord, God Almighty fought for them and rescued them from the fiery furnace. They came out of the fire alive and unhurt. The same God who fought for the three Hebrews will fight for you in Jesus’ name.

God Fought For Daniel

When some people ganged up against Daniel and they instigated the king to make a decree that in the next thirty days, all the people in his domain should pray to the king. They were fully aware that Daniel had the habit of praying to God three times daily, so they were actually setting a trap for Daniel. However, when the king had finished issuing the decree, Daniel went to his chamber as usual to pray to God three times daily. Those who plotted for him caught him while he was praying and they reported him to the king. The king was not pleased to throw Daniel into the lions’ den. However, because he had made the decree, he allowed them to throw Daniel into the lions’ den.

The king was disturbed throughout the night and he could not sleep. He kept a vigil for Daniel. Early the next morning, he went to the lions’ den and called up on Daniel. He said, “Has the Lord your God whom you served day and night be able to deliver you from the lions?’ Daniel answered that the Lord God Almighty had fought for him. He had sent his angels to shut the mouth of the lions. Even the king knew that the God that Daniel served had the capacity to deliver Daniel. This was an unbelieving king. Yet many believers today do not believe that God has the capacity to fight their battles. I pray that just like God fought for Daniel, the Lord, God Almighty will fight for you in Jesus’ name. He will rescue you from the gang up of the enemies in Jesus’ name.

God Fought For David

When David confronted Goliath, he did not confront him with physical weapons. He mentioned that he came to face the giant in the name of the Lord, God Almighty. David told Goliath that he was actually fighting with God and not him. Truly, God took over the battle from David and delivered the head of Goliath into his hands. The same God that fought for David will fight your battles for you in Jesus’ name. As we pray today, I pray that the Lord, God Almighty will fight your battles for you in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

  1. O Lord, God Almighty, I pray that you will fight for me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will send your angels ahead of me to guard me along the way to bring me to the place you have prepared  in Jesus’ name. Father, I pray that you will be an enemy to my enemies and oppose those who oppose me in Jesus’ name.

Exodus 23:20-22 (NIV)

“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. 21 Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him. 22 If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.

2. Father, I pray that you will fight my battles for me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will cast away my fear and give me a great deliverance in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that the Egyptians I see today, I will see them no more in Jesus’ name.

Exodus 14:13-14 (NIV)

Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Father, I pray that you will make my enemies turn their backs and run in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will send the hornet ahead of me and drive out the enemies away in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will possess my possession in Jesus’ name.

Exodus 23:27-30 (NIV)

“I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run. 28 I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way. 29 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. 30 Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.

4. Father, I pray that you will fight my battles for me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that the horse and its driver will be hurled into the sea

Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea.

Our God Is Mighty In Battle

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 (NIV)

When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you. 2 When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. 3 He shall say: “Hear, Israel: Today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them. 4 For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

7. O Lord, God Almighty, I pray that  you will fight for me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray  that you will lead me in the direction I need to take at all times in Jesus’ name. Father, I pray that you will destroy all the enemies that come against me in Jesus’ name.

Exodus 13:17-18 (NIV)

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.

8. Father, I thank you for fighting my battles for me. I pray that wherever the enemies have gathered because of me, you will scatter them and destroy their plans in Jesus’ name.

2 Chronicles 20:15 (NIV)

He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
