Thank God For Fighting Your Battles For You
Thank God For Fighting Your Battles For You
Today, we will be thanking God for fighting our battles for us. There are giants that you cannot confront by your power. However, when you surrender your battles to God, He will fight those giants for you. God promised to never leave you nor forsake you. The best father you can have is a father who can fight for you. You need a father who is ever ready to defend you. God as your Father promised to contend with those who contend with you. He promised to fight your battles for you.
When king Saul was chasing David all over the place and planning to kill him, David handed over the battle to God and God fought for him. King Saul eventually died in a battle and David was elevated to become the king. When Haman planned to destroy Mordecai and all the Jews, they prayed and handed over the battle to God and God fought for them. Haman later died and Mordecai was elevated to his position as the second in command to the king. When Pharaoh and his chariots pursued the Israelites and planned to annihilate them, they cried unto God and God delivered them from Pharaoh and his chariots. The Israelites walked through the sea in a dry land while Pharaoh and his chariots perished in the Red sea.
Don’t fight a man whom God is fighting for because you have lost such a battle already. No one is capable of fighting God. You might not be able to live to tell the story. Whosoever colluded with the Rock of Ages will crumble. God has never lost a battle and He will never lose a battle.
Physical Stature and Spiritual Stature
While fighting battles, your physical stature is not as important as your spiritual stature. When Goliath saw David, what he saw was his physical stature. He did not see his spiritual stature. You can only grow your spiritual stature by your knowledge of God. Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. You can only derive your spiritual strength from your knowledge of God. You can build your spiritual biceps by your knowledge of God. When you go to your spiritual gym, all you need to do is to feast on the Word of God and fellowship with Him and you will develop spiritual muscles.
David confronted Goliath with his knowledge of the Word of God. God took over the battle and fought for him. David killed Goliath without a sword but with a stone and a catapult. God will also fight your battles for you. Therefore, let us thank God for fighting our battles for us.
You don’t know how many arrows that fly by day as you go around your duty. Also, you don’t have an idea of the number of arrows that fly by night as you sleep. If the Lord had not fought for you, you would have been destroyed by the enemies. All along when Job’s business and family were doing fine, he might not have an idea that it was because God had built his hedge around him. When that hedge was lifted briefly, Satan came in full force and attacked his business empire and killed all his children. The reason why your business and your family are intact today is because God is fighting your battles for you. Therefore, you have to give all the glory to God for fighting your battles for you.
