Thank God for Fighting Your Battles For You

Thank God For Fighting Your Battles For You

Today, we will thank God for fighting our battles for us. There are so many battles that we fight on a daily basis. We have seen battles and unseen battles. If you have God by your side, you can win your battles without fighting. God is a Mighty Warrior and He is great in battle. Our God fights battles without arms and ammunition. He fought the Egyptians just by giving Moses instructions which he followed dogmatically. As Moses was following God’s instructions, the Egyptians were experiencing defeat. The same way God fought for the Israelites, He is also fighting our battles for us. So, we need to thank Him.

There was a time that some soldiers came to arrest Elijah. Ordinarily, one armed man is more than enough to defeat an unarmed man, how much more fifty soldiers. However, Elijah knew that he had the God that is strong and mighty in battle by his side. He called down fire from heaven and two captains and their fifties were destroyed. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty through God. When the enemies come with carnal weapons, we fight them with spiritual weapons. Carnal weapons can not match spiritual weapons.

God Is Still Fighting Your Battles

There was a time an army came to arrest Elisha yet he conquered them. How can an entire army of a nation come for just one man? The army did not know that Elisha had a heavenly army guarding him. When one of his servants  was afraid, Elisha told him that those who were with them were greater than the army who came for them. He prayed that God would open his servant’s eyes and God did. He saw horses and chariots of fire guarding them. As believers, we have constant body guards and they are many. That was why Paul could say that we are more than conquerors. Therefore, we need to constantly thank God for fighting our battles for us.

God has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the powers of the enemies (Luke 10:19). This shows that the devil is on the ground already even before we fight him. You can only trample on someone who has already fallen to the ground. This shows that Satan has already been defeated. The easiest thing to do is to just trample on someone who is already on the ground. We therefore need to thank God because He has given us victory even without fighting. All we have to do is to claim our victory and constantly give thanks to God.
