Pray That God Will Give You Unusual Anointing
Today, pray that God will give you an unusual anointing. You need God’s anointing to excel in His plans and purpose for your life. The anointing can take you out of obscurity into the limelight. When God anointed David, the anointing took him from the bush to the throne. He was able to solve a national problem by that anointing. Despite the fact that he was not qualified to be enlisted in the army of Israel, he killed Goliath. David’s elder brothers were qualified to be in the army probably because they had experience but David had no war experience. Also, it is possible that his age was not in his favour. However, David broke all the protocols. He was young and inexperienced yet he killed a giant and an experienced soldier.
From the story of David, we realised that the anointing can help you to break some protocols. The anointing can qualify you for a position that you think you are not qualified for. God’s unusual anointing can empower you to fight the battle which others are running away from. The anointing of God can qualify you for the position that others are not qualified for. God’s unusual anointing can turn the despised to the celebrated. Kings will honour you when an unusual anointing comes upon you. The anointing of God can cause those who looked down on you to look up to you. The brothers of David looked down on him when he told them that he will fight Goliath. However, when he eventually killed Goliath, they began to look up to him.
Anointing Can Enthrone
The irony of the story of David was that the father thought that he was not qualified for the unusual anointing. However, God said that he was the most qualified. After the anointing came upon David, he was also the most qualified harpist in the land who played his harp for king Saul. When he played the harp, king Saul got some relief from the evil spirit was tormenting him. The unusual anointing made David king Saul’s in-law. It shows that God’s unusual anointing can give you a wife or a husband.
The unusual anointing upon David made him an eternal excellency and a joy of many generations. His throne was established forever because Jesus Christ came from his lineage. David was so relevant that Bartimeaus the blind man called Jesus Christ “The Son of David.” David was described as a man after God’s heart. I pray that God will give you an unusual anointing in Jesus’ name.
God’s anointing was so important that the kings in Israel could not rule without it. The Priest could not function in their offices without it and the prophets could not operate in their offices if they lack it. When a man is anointed, you can not touch or harm him. If you fight a man with anointing God will be the one to fight you back. When king Saul eventually lacked the anointing, he became an empty king on the throne. What made him king was gone already. He became timid and could no longer fight God’s battle like he did before when he had the anointing.
Lack of Anointing Can Dethrone
David was anointed the king over Israel even while Saul was still on the throne. It shows that in the sight of God, he was a figurehead on the throne while David was the real king. When you lose God’s unusual anointing, you have lost your enthronement. You will just be doing exploits in futility. This shows that you must pay any price to have it. Without the anointing you can not function properly in the ministry. You can not accomplish God’s plan and purpose for your life without it. Therefore, if the anointing of God is this important, you need to tarry in God’s presence until you have it. As we pray today, I pray that God will give us His unusual anointing in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, I pray that you will anoint me powerfully for the task and assignment which you have given to me. Lord, I pray that through this anointing, I will fulfill my purpose in Jesus’ name
Exodus 29:7
Then you shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.
5. Father, I pray that you will consecrate me with an unusual anointing. Lord, I pray that you will anoint me for service in Jesus’ name
Exodus 28:41
You shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him; and you shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve Me as priests.
6. Father, I pray that you will release your unusual anointing upon me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will anoint me and enthrone me in Jesus’ name
1 Samuel 16:13
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.
7. Father, I pray that you will anoint me with an unusual anointing and give me a dominion mandate in Jesus’ name

“And Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.
8. Father, I pray that you will anoint me and my children with your unusual anointing in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will set us apart for your purpose in Jesus’ name
Leviticus 8:30
So Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.
9. Father, I pray that you will pour your oil on me and use me mightily for your purpose in Jesus’ name
1 Samuel 10:1
Then Samuel took the flask of oil, poured it on his head, kissed him and said, “Has not the Lord anointed you a ruler over His inheritance?
10. Father, I pray that you will anoint me immeasurably for your purpose in Jesus’ name.
1 Kings 1:39
Zadok the priest then took the horn of oil from the tent and anointed Solomon. Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!”
