Pray That God Will Keep His Covenant With You

Pray That God Will Keep His Covenant With You

Today, you need to pray that God will keep His covenant with you. God is a covenant keeping God. He keeps His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments. Men may forget the covenants they made with you but God will not forget His covenants. He is not a man that should lie neither is He a son of man that he should repent. Whatever covenant He has made with you, He will fulfill it.

The Covenant Keeper: God’s Promise to Abraham and Its Fulfillment

When God called Abraham, He made a covenant with him. God promised Abraham a son and He gave him the son at the appointed time. God told Abraham that He will bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him. He also told Abraham that through his seed, He will bless all the nations of the earth. In fulfillment to God’s part of this covenant, He sent Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, so he came from the lineage of Abraham. If you are not yet saved today, it is not because God has not kept His covenant or promises. It is because you have refused to surrender your life to Jesus and enter His rest.

God has blessed all the nations of the earth today through Jesus Chrst.  When Pharaoh oppressed the Israelites who were descendants of Abraham, God remembered His covenant with Abraham and delivered them the moment they cried unto Him. God said that he will curse those who cursed Abraham, so He dealt with Pharaoh and the Egyptians mercilessly for putting the Israelites in bondage. He fought them with many plagues because they made the Israelites serve under rigor. You are the apple of God’s eyes and He has given a severe warning concerning you by saying, “Touch not my anointed and do my Prophet no harm. God will always keep His covenant with you.

The Everlasting Covenant: God’s Promise of Peace and Faithfulness

God promised that He will keep His covenant of peace with you. He promised to give you peace not as the world will give you. God also promised to never leave you nor forsake you. He has sent the promise of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us and lives with us forever.  Whatever God says, He stands by it. God made a covenant with Noah and He promised not to destroy the world with flood again. He placed a rainbow in the sky as a symbol to remind Him of His covenant with mankind. The reason God has not destroyed the world again with flood despite the wickedness going on in the world today is due to the covenant which He made with man through Noah.

Covenant is very powerful. A covenant is a solemn agreement, contract, or promise between two or more parties. In a biblical context, a covenant often refers to the agreements established between God and individuals or groups of people, where God makes promises and often requires certain commitments or behaviors in return. God will always keep His part of the covenant He makes with you. However, men most of the time don’t keep their part. I pray that God will give you the grace to keep your part of the covenant as God keeps His part in Jesus’ name.
