Prayer For God’s Guidance and Righteous Living

Prayer for God’s Guidance and Righteous Living

Today, we will pray for God’s guidance and righteous living. God has the ability to guide you in all your ways provided you are willing to listen to His guidance. God can guide us in various ways. One of the major ways by which God guides us is by His Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that He will send the Holy Spirit and He shall teach us all things. If there is anything you don’t know, you have probably not engaged the Holy Spirit. The holy Spirit is Omniscient, He knows all things. So, if there is anything that is not clear to you, you can engage the Holy Spirit and He will clarify it.

God can guide you into righteous living. The flesh guides you into unrighteous living while the Holy Spirit guides you into a righteous living. If you are struggling with sin or an addiction, you can engage the Holy Spirit. Those who walk after the flesh are under condemnation. However, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

Prayers for God’s Direction and Holy Living

You also need to trust in the Lord with all your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding. You have to acknowledge God in all your ways so that He can direct your path. One of the duties of the true Shepherd is guidance. There are a lot of dangers out there. We have dangers of wild animals which can devour the sheep. If the Shepherd is not tactical and strong enough to defend the sheep, those wild animals will devour the sheep. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”  God has the capacity to guide us and deliver us from the devil and his cohorts. Satan will not devour you in Jesus’ name.

David was an example of a true shepherd. He killed both the lion and the bear that came to attack his sheep. If David can defend his sheep this way, how much more God. He is able to guide you and defend you. We all need God’s guidance and the grace for righteous living. He has given us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, so that we can work in obedience to Him and to live righteously. If you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, you will never go astray. As we pray today, I pray that the Lord will guide us and lead us in the righteous path in Jesus’ name.
