Pray for God’s renewal and Healing

Pray For God’s Renewal and Healing

Today, we will pray for God’s renewal and healing. In Psalm 23, God promised to refresh our soul and this can be described as healing. The greatest healing that can happen to a man is when he has God’s renewal and healing in his soul. The soul of a man is the battle ground where good or evil are birthed. The aim of the devil is to contend for your soul. However, we have victory through Jesus Christ.

Salvation does not stop on the day you give your life to Jesus Christ. The concept of regeneration or new birth addressed your spirit man. That happened instantaneously the moment you confess Jesus Christ as your personal and Savior and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. However, the salvation and the renewal of your soul is a process. That is the reason why we need to study the Word of God on a daily basis. That is the reason why we meditate on the Word of God day and night. If you don’t meditate on the Word of God day and night, you will not be careful to observe everything that is written therein.

Seek God’s Healing and Renewal

Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans said that we should renew our mind. Romans 12:2 (NIV) says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” There is a pattern that the scriptures refer to as the pattern of this world. There is the way a believer should speak and there is a way the world speaks. Just like we have computer languages, we also have worldly languages and godly languages. By your speech, I can tell where you belong. I can tell who you are by the way you dress. By your dressing, I can tell if you are a believer or an unbeliever. God said that you should not conform to the pattern of this world.

You have to transform and renew your mind. How do you do that? You do that by listening to, by studying and by meditating on the Word of God day and night. That is the only way to test and approve what God’s will is. If a man made a will for his children and you want to know the will of that man, then you have to read his will. The Word of God contains God’s will. As you study and meditate on it, you will understand His will.

Pray for Divine Restoration and Health

Also, since God is our Shepherd, He has the capacity to heal us. Our Shepherd is also Jehovah Rapha. He is the God our healer. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and He has healed us by His stripes. God is not just willing to heal you. He is willing to give you good health. What that means is that you will never fall sick again. Which one is better, to live in good health or to receive healing from sickness? I believe that to live in good health is better. However, if you are sick in your body, there is still a balm in Gilead. Jesus will heal you. As you pray today for God’s renewal and healing, I pray that God will heal you and renew your heart in Jesus’ name.
