Pray For A Great Revival In The Church
Today, we will pray for a great revival in the Church. The church determines the happenings in the society. If the Church is on fire for God, our society will be on fire for God. If the Church is slumbering and sleeping, it will impact the society. Just a few believers were on fire on the day of Pentecost and they set the whole city ablaze for God. Just one hundred and twenty people caught the fire of the Holy Spirit in the upper room and they started spreading the fire of revival in the society.
The sound of the Holy Spirit invited thousands of people to the scene where the one hundred and twenty caught the fire. Just one message by Peter, a man who is on fire, delivered three thousand people from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. We need a great revival in the Church.
One Man On Fire Can Set A Nation Ablaze For God
If only one man is on fire for the Lord, he has the capacity to deliver a whole nation. The Israelites had been in bondage for hundreds of years. They cried unto God and God appeared to Moses in the burning bush. He instructed Moses to go and rescue the Israelites. The moment Moses saw the fire of God through the burning bush, he was on fire God.
This man on fire went back to confront the challenge that had confronted him. He had earlier ran away from king Pharaoh. For forty years, he was in the wilderness when he had that encounter with the fire of God. After God appeared to him, he went back to Egypt and God used him to deliver the nation of Israel from their bondage. This means that if you are on fire for the Lord, you can deliver your nation from bondage. I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church in Jesus’ name.
The Church Determines The Pulse Of The Society
The people of God in a nation determine the healing in the land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” This shows that if there is a crisis in a nation, the believers should take responsibility for this. If corruption is thriving in a nation, the people of God are mainly at fault.
If there is decadence in your society don’t point accusing fingers to those who are in authority. It is simply because the believers had a lackadaisical attitude to their responsibility as Christians. There is a need for a great revival in the Church. Your society will benefit immensely if there is a true revival in the Church. As we pray today, I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church in Jesus’ name

2. Father, I pray that you will revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the contrite. Lord, I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 57:15
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
3. Father, I pray that the believers in this nation will be on fire for you in Jesus’ name. Lord, we pray that there will be a genuine repentance in the Church that will lead to a great revival in the land. Father, I pray that you will heal our land in Jesus’ name
2 Chronicles 7:14

4. Father, I pray that you will put an end to idolatry in the land in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church and you will destroy every evil in the land in Jesus’ name
1 Kings 18:21
And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word.
5. Father, I pray that you will baptize the Church with your Holy Spirit and fire. Lord, I pray that you will empower the Church and we shall be your witness in our City, in our nation and all over the world. Father, I pray that this fire of revival will spread all over the world in Jesus’ name.
Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
6. Father, I pray that you will wake up all the sleeping believers in the Church today. Lord, I pray that you will raise up all the believers who are spiritually dead. Lord, I pray that your light will shine in us and through us to our world in Jesus’ name
Ephesians 5:14
For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
7. Father, I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will revive us again and set us ablaze for you in Jesus’ name
Habakkuk 3:2
O Lord, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O Lord, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it, in the midst of the years make it known, in wrath remember mercy.
8. Father, I pray that you will revive us again and raise us up. Lord, I pray that every Christian who is spiritually dead will come back to live in Jesus’ name. Father, I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church.
Hosea 6:2
After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him.
9. Father, I pray that you will anoint our tongues with your coal of fire and make us more useful for you in Jesus’ name. Lord, deliver the Church from unclean lips and let there be a great revival in the Church in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 6:5
And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”
10. Father, I pray that you will revive our souls through your Word in Jesus’ name. Lord, let your Word become fire in our bones and set us ablaze for you in Jesus’ name. Father, I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church.
Psalm 19:7
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
11. Father, I pray that all the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord. Lord, I pray that there will be a great revival in the Church and all the families of the nations shall worship before you in Jesus’ name.
Psalm 22:27
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.
