WordFest Session 1- Day 2: A New Thing

Wordfest 2021: Session 1: A New Thing

What is WordFest?

WordFest is a time to feast on the Word of God and a time to receive fresh spiritual strength from the Word of God. The Word of God gives spiritual strength just like physical meal gives physical strength. We constantly need the Word of God as a spiritual meal to renew our strength.

The Word of God is a spiritual meal

Jesus Christ compares the Word of God to bread.  The Word God is Jesus who is the bread of life.

Matthew 4:4

But He answered and said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.’”

Jeremiah 15:16

Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

Praying For Dominion In Your Finances

Dominion In Your Finances

God’s plan for you is to have dominion in your  finances. God does not want to only bless you but to also ultimately make you a blessing. When you have dominion over your finances, any company you enter will be blessed because of you. That was the experience of Joseph and Jacob. The business of Potiphar was blessed because of Joseph and the nation of Egypt was blessed because of Joseph. Laban’s business was also blessed because of Jacob.  So, when you live in dominion over your finances, you are not only blessed but you are a blessing.

Moreover, when you live in dominion over your finances, it doesn’t really matter if there is famine in all the nations of the world. God will become your Source. In the time of Elijah, there was a famine all over the land because Elijah stopped the rain for three and half years, yet God sent the raven to go and feed Elijah. Also, when the brook of water dried up, God sent Elijah to the widow and Zarephath and he became a blessing to that household. Elijah, the widow and her son were fed throughout the famine. The jar of oil and measure of flour did not run dry.

Praying For Dominion Over Demonic Powers

Praying For Dominion Over Forces of Darkness

Today, we will be praying for dominion over  demonic powers. Jesus Christ has given us dominion over demonic powers. Truly, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, cosmic rulers and spiritual wickedness in high places. However, by putting on the whole armor of God we have dominion over all these agents of darkness. Light and darkness can never cohabit. If both are in the same place it is the darkness that will have to vacate for the light. Light will always triumph over darkness.

Since we are children of light, the forces of darkness can never have dominion over us. Elijah was able to demonstrate to the prophets of Baal that power belongs to God. Also, Moses also demonstrated that no power can withstand the power of God. Through Moses, God fought king Pharaoh and all his magicians and the whole land of Egypt with many plagues. In the same way, we are supposed to constantly exercise our dominion over demons.

When the madman of Gadara saw Jesus, he was delivered from the legions of demons that were tormenting him. Demons are supposed to tremble at our presence because Jesus Christ lives in us.  Luke 10:19 says, God has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy;  and nothing will harm us. We are going to pray and exercise our dominion over demons and all forces of darkness in Jesus’ name.
