Grace For Walking In Dominion Over Flesh

Walking In Dominion Over Flesh

Walking in dominion over the flesh is highly necessary for us as Christians. The major oppositions to a godly Christian living are lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life. If we can overcome these main constraints as Christians we will live a victorious life. The flesh is always doing what is contrary to the will of God. The way to live a victorious life is to crucify the flesh.

Ishmael and Isaac can never cohabit. One has to leave for the other. Just like father Abraham did, we have to send Ishmael away. Jacob and Esau can not stay together, there will be a constant war among them. The best way to have dominion over the flesh is to destroy every work of the flesh.  However, you cannot destroy the work of the flesh by your own power. Our victory over the flesh is actually in Christ. (more…)

Praying for the Grace to Walk in Dominion Over Sin

Grace to Walk In  Dominion Over Sin

There is a grace to walk in dominion over sin because Jesus Christ has given us dominion over sin. The ultimate goal of sin is to separate man from God eternally. The aim of sin is to soil the relationship between man and God. Sin is defined as being “Satanic In Nature.” Among all the creations of God, man was the last to be created. Despite the fact that man was the last to be created, God gave man dominion over everything He had created. However, when man sinned, man willingly handed over his authority to Satan.

As a result of the downfall of man sin entered the world and started having dominion over man. Over 2000 years ago, God sent His Son Jesus Christ in human form to reconcile man to Himself. Since then, we have victory over sin and the consequences of sin. In Romans 6:14, Apostle Paul summarized this experience. He said, ‘Sin will not have dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.”

Today, as a believer, we have victory over sin and over Satan, the father of all sinners. We are no longer slaves to sin. Eureka! Sin is no longer our master. We have a new Master, the Holy Spirit. We are now the sons of God. Our new story is summarized in 1 John 5:4 which says, “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”

We will be praying to exercise our dominion over sin

The True Worshippers Part 3

The True Worship & The True Worshippers

  1. The true worshippers are totally obedient to God
  2. They obey God early – Genesis 22:3: Delay obedience is disobedient
  3. The true worshippers are ready to offer what they cherish most without conferring with the flesh and blood
  4. True worship requires sacrifice – There is no worship without a sacrifice
  5. As a true worshipper, you are the major sacrifice
  6. Worship is not complete without an altar
  7. You can not claim that you are a true worshipper until you are tested

1 Samuel 15:22

And Samuel said, “Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

The Fruit of The Spirit Part 2 – Joy

What is joy?

Joy is a condition of the heart. In Greek, the word for joy is ‘chara.’ This describes a feeling of inner gladness, delight or rejoicing. This inner gladness leads to a cheerful heart and a cheerful heart leads to cheerful behavior.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Joy is an attribute of God

Zephaniah 3:17

“The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Being joyful is a commandment from God

Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

The True Worshippers Part 2

Who Are True Worshippers

The true worshippers are those who worship God in Spirit and in truth.

What is worship?

Worship is total surrender of yourself and your will to God. It is pouring yourself out as an offering to God. It is sacrificing yourself alive on God’s altar

Romans 21:1

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

The Fruits of The Spirit: Love

Characteristics of True Love

Love is God and God is love. You can not claim that you are a Christian without love.

Love is  Patient

Patience is the ability to endure difficult circumstances. It may involve perseverance in the face of delay; tolerance or provocation without responding in disrespect or anger; or forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer term difficulties.  True love can tolerate pain or suffering without complaining or getting angry.

Love is  Kind

Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Being kind is doing intentional, voluntary acts of kindness. Not only when it is easy to be kind, but when it is difficult to be. True love has a gentle, caring and compassionate heart. It feels your sorrow; it feels your joy.

 Love Is Not Envious

Envy is an emotion which occurs when a person lacks another’s superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it. To be envious of someone means painful or resentment awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage. True love is content and thankful for its blessings and current possessions. It doesn’t envy other people.

The True Worshippers

Who is a worshipper?

A worshipper is a person who has religious faith. A worshipper is someone who manifests devotion to a deity –  who believe in the existence of a god or gods. Worshippers are a group of religious congregations having its own organization and a distinctive faith. The fact that God is seeking for true worshippers shows that we have fake worshippers.

What is worship?

It is an act of attributing reverent honor and homage to God. In the new testament, various words are used to refer to the term worship. One is “Proskuneo” which means (to worship) which means to bow down to God or kings

Philippians 3:3

For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh”

The Gift of Interpretation of Tongues

What is the gift of interpretation of tongues?

The interpretation of tongues is the supernatural ability to interpret the gift of speaking in tongues into a language we can understand. This gift works with the gift of diverse tongues. It does not work on its own.

The gift of interpretation of tongues is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 NKJV

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,

9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
