Pray That God Will Give You A Contagious Fire
Pray That God Will Give You A Contagious Fire
Today, you should pray that God will give you a contagious fire. Fire has the capacity to spread especially if you add fuel to it. There is no one who comes in contact with fire and remains the same. The fire has the capacity to consume and it also has the capacity to purify. Moses came in contact with the fire of God at Mount Sinai and immediately he was on fire. With that one contact with the fire of God, Moses was able to deliver the Israelites from bondage.
After the Apostles came in contact with the fire of God on the day of Pentecost, they began to spread the fire of revival everywhere. Peter and John met a lame man at the Beautiful Gate and the lame man began to walk at the mention of the name of Jesus. One Sermon by Peter, a man who had contacted the fire, brought thousands of souls to Jesus Christ. That fire was contagious.
There was a time when God instructed Elijah to go and anoint Jehu, son of Nimshi king over Israel. He also told him to anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed him as prophet (1 Kings 19:16). When Elijah got to Elisha, he threw his cloak on him and instantly, Elisha caught the fire. Elisha has caught the fire since then. Also, when God was about to take Elijah away, He sent a chariot of fire. As soon as Elisha saw Elijah when God was taking him away by the chariot of fire, he grabbed his cloth and the intensity of the fire in him increased.
Although Elijah went to heaven in the chariot of fire, he left a double portion of the fire witn Elisha. Elisha did great and mighty exploits more than Elijah did. You can also pray that God will give you a contagious fire.
