Praying For A Great Revival Part 2

Day 24: 40 DAYS PRAYER, FASTING AND WORSHIP FEB 3rd to MARCH 14th, 2021.  2021, A YEAR OF NEW BEGINNING - ISAIAH 43:17-19

Short Exhortation About A Great Revival

We need a great revival in our nation and all over the world. A man is made up of spirit, soul and body. A man is a spirit being, that has a soul and lives in a body. God expects total salvation from all Christians. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

A Great revival transcends healing in our body. Our body, soul and spirit needs to be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus’ Christ. 3 John 2 says, “ Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” The word “You” in this verse refers to your spirit man. The Lord wants our spirit and our soul to prosper and to also be in good health.”

A great revival will affect your spirit, soul and body. Healing in our body is good, but our soul and our spirit need to prosper also. Today, many run after miracles that affect their body but have little or no impact on their souls and spirit. The trend needs to change, the healing needs to be total and it must affect your spirit, soul and body. If you are healed in your body and still continue in sin, what is the benefit of you being healed in your body and still go to hell?

For there to be a great revival, we need to pay more attention to the inner man than the body. In Matthew 10:28, Jesus said, “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell” Jesus was telling us here not to be afraid of someone who can kill the body and not the soul. This shows us the high value that God places on our souls. Paul admonishes us to offer our body as a pleasing sacrifice unto God and to also renew our minds by the Word of God (Romans 12:1-2). A great revival will enable us to put our body under subjection just like Apostle Paul did in 1 Corinthians 9:27.

A great revival will have an impact on our spirit, soul and body.
