Praying For Divine Compensation

Today, we are going to be praying for divine compensation. What is compensation? It is the act of compensating by rewarding someone for service or by making up for someone’s loss, damage, or injury by giving the injured party an appropriate benefit. When this compensation comes from God, it is referred to as divine compensation. From the story of Hannah, we realized that God eventually compensated her for all the years that she had lost.  She had many children and one of them was Samuel, the national Prophet. I pray that God will also divinely compensate you for all the years that you have lost in Jesus’ name.

God has a way of restoring years that the locust, caterpillar, cankerworm and palmerworm had eaten. The Israelites were in Egypt for four hundred and thirty years. They were working and serving their taskmaster under rigor without remuneration. One day, God gave them favor before their task master. He did not only deliver them from the Egyptians’ bondage but He also compensated them financially. The Israelites were rewarded in one day for all their labor. It doesn’t really matter what you have lost over the years. The law of God’s divine compensation will work in your favor in Jesus’ name. You shall be divinely compensated for all you have lost financially in Jesus’ name.

God Helped Apostle Paul In Ministry

Apostle Paul wasted a lot of years busy persecuting the Church. This could be described as valuable years that he was supposed to spend in propagating the gospel. He was wrong in persecuting the Church, but he was sincerely wrong. One day, he had an encounter with Jesus and his story changed. He started witnessing for Christ by spreading the gospel to many nations. If we compare the exploits that Apostle Paul made at the end of the day compared with other Apostles, it was like night and day. The difference was clear. For all the years he had lost in ministry, God compensated him. He wrote about two-third of the book in the new testament. I pray that for all the years you have lost in ministry, there will be a divine compensation in Jesus’ name.

God Restored Job’s Fortune

Job was another man who lost a great fortune. He was the richest man in the east region where he lived. Calamity struck and he lost his wealth, he lost his health and he lost his children. However, he didn’t lose his faith in God. At a point in time, his wife told him to deny God and died but he refused. His friends accused him wrongly because they believed that he must have done something wrong to warrant the kind of trouble he went through. He stayed true to his faith in God and God remembered him when he prayed for his friends. He received double of what he lost and God bless him with children. His children were the most beautiful in that region. Whenever God compensates you, He does that big time.

God Gave Barren Women Great Children

I realized that all those who were in the waiting room for so long in the bible before they had children, God compensated them with a great child. Sarah waited for so long before having a child, but eventually God gave her Isaac, the child of promise. Rebekah also waited for twenty years before having a child. When God was going to answer her, He did not only give her children, but He gave her two nations. One of the nations is the nation of Israel that is very unique in God’s plans and purpose for mankind.

Rachel also waited for so long before she could conceive. Eventually, she gave birth to Joseph and later Benjamin. Joseph was a great child who later rose to become a Prime Minister in Egypt. He was globally relevant in the time of famine in Egypt. Manoah’s wife was also barren for a long time. When God finally answered her, she gave birth to a special child, Samson. Samson was heavily anointed by God and he was used mightily to destroy the Philistines. Although he messed up by abusing the grace of God upon him, the fact still remains that he was a special child.

Expect God’s Divine Compensation

Elizabeth, the wife of Zechariah, is also worthy of mentioning. She was also barren for a long time. However, when God was going to answer her, she gave birth to John the Baptist. All these women experienced divine compensation. Divine compensation is when God compensates you for all your loss. He promised to restore all the years that the locust, caterpillar, cankerworm and palmerworm had eaten. God also said that He will give us double for our trouble. He promised to make us an eternal excellency and a joy of many generations. That is what divine compensation is all about. As we pray for divine compensation today, I pray that God will compensate us for all our loss in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points

  1. Father, I thank you for always leading us in triumphal procession and for spreading the fragrance of your knowledge through me.

2 Corinthians 2:14

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

2. Father, I pray for all those who are laboring by preaching and teaching the gospel that you will give them double honor in Jesus’ name.

1 Timothy 5:17-18

Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.  For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer deserves his wages.”

3. Father, I pray for all those who are waiting upon you that you will renew their strength in Jesus’ name. I pray that they will mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 40:31

But those who trust the Lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.

4. Father, I pray for those who have suffered a great loss in business that there will be a divine compensation in Jesus’ name

John 21:6

He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.

5. Father, I pray for all those who are experiencing shame today that you will cause your face to shine upon them. I pray that they will rejoice in their inheritance and inherit a double portion in the land in Jesus’ name

Isaiah 61:7

Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

6. Father, I pray for all the waiting mothers, that you will give them a child that will be greater than Samuel in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will compensate them for their loss in a big way in Jesus’ name

1 Samuel 2:26

And the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the LORD and with people.

1 Samuel 3:19-20

The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground. So all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the LORD

7. Father, I pray that in any way I have suffered a setback in my career there will be a divine compensation in Jesus’ name. Lord, let there be restoration for everything I have lost in Jesus’ name

Exodus 12:36

The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.

8. Father, I pray that in every area where people have used and cheated me, you will divinely compensate me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will reward me in a big way for all my years of labor in Jesus’ name

Genesis 31:6-9

You know that I’ve worked for your father as hard as I could. 7 But your father cheated me and changed my payment ten times. Yet God didn’t let him harm me. 8 If he said, ‘The speckled ones will be your payment,’ the whole flock gave birth to speckled young. And if he said, ‘The striped ones will be your payment,’ the whole flock gave birth to striped young. 9 God took away your father’s livestock and gave them to me.

9. Father, I pray that you will restore all the years that the locust, cankerworm, caterpillar and palmerworm had eaten in Jesus’ name

Joel 2:25

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

10. Father, I pray for all the waiting mothers, that you will compensate them with a child who will be great like Joseph in Jesus’ name

Genesis 41:37-40

Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his officials. 38 So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?” 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are. 40 You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours.”
