Praying For God’s Anointing Part 1
Day 35: 40 DAYS PRAYER, FASTING AND WORSHIP FEB 3rd to MARCH 14th, 2021. 2021, A YEAR OF NEW BEGINNING - ISAIAH 43:17-19
Short Exhortation About Anointing
To achieve anything great in the Christendom, we need God’s anointing. All the people that did great exploits in the scriptures were people who had encountered the anointing of God at one time or the other in their lives. The anointing of God is so important in the bible to the extent that the kings could not reign without it, The Prophets could not minister effectively without it and the Priests could not function in their office without it. All those who were anointed in the scripture started operating in the power of the Holy Spirit. In the beginning, even God needed the Holy Spirit to hover over the waters. He played a major role during creation.
Jesus Christ could not start His ministry without God’s anointing. Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” It was the anointing that enabled him to go about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. The Apostle could only achieve so much because of the anointing of God upon their lives. They waited at the upper room until they were baptized with the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit has the ability to teach you everything you need to know. 1 John 2:27 says, “But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.” The reason why many are in darkness today is due to the lack of God’s anointing. The anointing can heal the sick and the anointing can break the yoke. The anointing makes you untouchable and also protects you from harm. Psalm 105:15 says, “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.” If there is anything you need for you to be successful and achieve God’s plans and purpose for your life as a Christian, it is God’s anointing. As we pray for God’s anointing today, I pray that our ministry will take a new turn in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, I thank you for your anointing upon my life. I thank you because you are releasing a greater anointing upon me today. I bless you because with your anointing, I will do greater exploits for you. Lord, I pray that your anointing will abide in me and continue to teach me in Jesus’ name
1 John 2:27

2. Lord, I pray that you will anoint me heavily and I will begin to proclaim good news to the poor, set the captives free and liberate those who are oppressed by your anointing upon me in Jesus’ name
Luke 4:18
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed”
3. Father, I pray that all those who are sick will be healed by your anointing upon my life in Jesus’ name. Any sick that comes in contact with your anointing upon my life will experience healing in Jesus’ name
James 5:14
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
4. God, I pray that by your anointing upon my life, you will comfort all those who are mourning and give them garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 61:1-3
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to [a]heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound”
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified
5. Lord, I pray that demons will flee by the reason of your anointing upon my life and the sick shall be healed in Jesus’ name
Mark 6:13
“And they cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them.”
6. Father, I pray that your anointing will rest mightily upon me in Jesus’ name and I will have all knowledge in Jesus’ name
1 John 2:20
“But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.”
1 Samuel 6:13
“Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. And Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.”
7. God, we pray that you will pour your anointing upon all who are thirsty today and our sons and daughters will begin to prophesy and our young men will see visions and our old men will dream dreams in in Jesus’ name
Joel 2:28
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.”
8. Lord, I pray that you will anoint my head with oil and my cup will overflow in Jesus’ name. As a result of your anointing upon my life, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life in Jesus’ name
Psalm 23:1-6
” The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.”
9. Father, anoint me with your holy oil in Jesus’ name
Psalm 89:20
“I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him”
10. God, I pray that as Jesus was anointed, your anointing will come upon me in Jesus’ name and I will start doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil just like Jesus did in Jesus’ name
Acts 10:38
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him”
11. Father, I pray that by your anointing, I will do extraordinary miracles like Apostle Paul in Jesus’ name. My aprons and handkerchief will heal the sick and every form of diseases and also cast out demons in Jesus’ name
Acts 19:11-12
“And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them”
12. Lord, I pray that every form of burden will be taken away and lifted from my shoulder by your anointing in Jesus’ name. Father, let every yoke be destroyed by your anointing in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 10:27
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing”
