Praying For Open Doors of Favor
Today, we shall be praying for open doors of favor. What is God’s favor? Favor means God stepping into a situation to make a worthwhile difference. Mephibosheth, a grandson of king Saul, found favor in David’s sight and he was elevated to dine with the king. He did not merit this considering the fact that king Saul was the arch-enemy of David. He attempted to kill David several times but God spared David’s life. Mephibosheth was however favored due to the relationship between Jonathan and David.
Favor has the capacity to grow. It was recorded that Samuel grew in favor with God and men. Jesus Christ also grew in favor with God and men. You can also grow in favor with God and men as God will open the doors of favor to you this year. God will favor you and men will favor you everywhere you go.
Looking at the life of Noah, what preserved him from destruction was actually favor and not just his act of righteousness. If you look deeply into the life of Noah, shortly after the flood he was drunk and one of his sons saw his nakedness. I guess he must have probably been a drunkard before, yet God favored him and he was not destroyed when God destroyed the earth with flood. You cannot be saved by your act of righteousness, but by God’s favor and mercy. I pray that the door of favor will be opened unto you in Jesus’ name.

Then Moses said to the Lord, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people!’ But You Yourself have not let me know whom You will send with me. Moreover, You have said, ‘I have known you by name, and you have also found favor in My sight.’
6. Father, I pray that just like Samuel grew in favor both with the Lord and with men, I will grow in favor with God and men in Jesus’ name
1 Samuel 2:26
Now the boy Samuel was growing in stature and in favor both with the Lord and with men.
7. Father, you favored the Israelites because of your covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, favor me also because I am connected with the covenant you made with Abraham. You said through Abraham, all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, so Lord favor me because of this covenant in Jesus’ name
2 Kings 13:23
But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion on them and turned to them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them or cast them from His presence until now.
8. Father, I pray for the grace to find you. As I find you Lord, I pray that I will find life and obtains favor from you in Jesus’ name
Proverbs 8:35
“For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.
9. Father, I pray for the grace to do good so that I can constantly find favor from you Lord. Lord, I pray that you will deliver me from doing evil in Jesus’ name
Proverbs 12:2
A good man will obtain favor from the Lord, but He will condemn a man who devises evil.
10. Father, I pray for those who are trusting you for a wife that they will find favor of getting a good wife in Jesus’ name. Lord, we pray that those who are trusting you for good husband will be favored also in Jesus’ name
Proverbs 18:22
He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
11. Father, I pray that just like Mary found favor in your sight among all women in Israel, I will be singled out for favor also in Jesus’ name
Luke 1:30
The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.
12. Father, I pray that just like Jesus increased in favor with God and men, I will increase in favor also. Lord, I pray that you will open the door of favor unto me in Jesus’ name.
Luke 2:52
And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
13. Father, I pray that foreigners will rebuild my walls and their kings will serve me. In every areas where you have struck me in your wrath, Lord, have compassion on me by your favor in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 60:10
Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, and in My favor I have had compassion on you.
