Praying For Perpetual Open Doors
God has the capacity to open all doors. Today, we will be praying for perpetual open doors. Isaiah 60:11 says, “Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations— their kings led in triumphal procession.” If you read that chapter further, you will see all the things that God will bless you with when your door is opened perpetually.
What is the meaning of perpetual? Perpetual means never ending or changing. It is synonymous to never-ending, everlasting; eternal; permanent; unending; endless or ceaseless. When you give your life to Jesus Christ for instance, the door of eternal life will be opened unto you (John 3:16). When God blessed Abraham and made him the father of many nations, the perpetual door of generational blessings was opened unto him.
We have many others in the scripture who experienced this perpetually opened doors. When God promoted Joseph and lifted him from the prison to the palace, it was a permanent promotion. He became the Prime Minister at the age of 30 and ruled in Egypt until he died at the age of 110 (Genesis 41:41-44). God fought for Jehoshaphat and gave him permanent peace when the three nations waged war against him. The blessing that Judah received from his father was a generational blessing. Jesus Christ came from his lineage.
As we pray today, we are going to be praying for perpetual open doors so that we can also be an eternal excellency and a joy for many generations.
