Praying For The Expansion of God’s Kingdom
Today, we are going to be praying for the expansion of God’s kingdom. What is a kingdom? A kingdom is a country, state, or territory ruled by a king or queen. What is God’s kingdom? The Kingdom of God, also described as the kingdom of Heaven, is the spiritual realm over which God reigns as King, or the fulfillment of God’s will on earth.
God’s plan is for the earth to be an extension of God’s kingdom. He created man in His image to be His ambassador on earth. God put us in charge of earth so that we can rule and govern the earth the same way He would have governed it. He will visit the earth to check and to see if man is still dominating the earth and ruling it according to the masterplan. God made heaven His throne and He made the earth His footstool. Meanwhile, Satan introduced sin into the world and he cunningly took over the dominion of earth from man. However, the plan of God is to recover the earth back through the believers.
The Expansion of God’s Kingdom on Earth is Believer’s Duty
Ultimately, the kingdom of this world will become the kingdom of our God. We need to constantly pray as believers until the kingdom of this world becomes the kingdom of our God. Although darkness covers the earth and gross darkness covers the people, God wants to shine His light all over the world until darkness completely disappears (Revelation 11:15; Exodus 15:18).
The Prophets Prophesied About The Expansion of God’s Kingdom
Prophet Isaiah prophesied that the government shall be upon Jesus’ shoulder and of the increase of His kingdom, there shall be no end (Isaiah 9:6-7). Daniel also prophesied about the expansion of God’s kingdom. Daniel 7:14 says, “He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” John the Baptist also preached repentance saying, “the kingdom of God is at hand” (Matthew 3:1-2)
Jesus Preached About God’s Kingdom
Jesus constantly preached about God’s kingdom. He instructed His disciples to preach about the kingdom of God. Jesus taught about God’s kingdom even after His resurrection. While on earth, He spoke so many parables about God’s kingdom (Matthew 13:31-32; Mark 4:30-32; Matthew 13:33; Luke 13:20-21). Jesus’ disciples followed His footsteps by preaching about God’s kingdom. Apostle Paul said, the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20). He also said that the kingdom of God is not about feasting but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). If Jesus Christ preached about God’s kingdom, we need to constantly preach about the expansion of God’s kingdom.
We must constantly pray for God’s kingdom on earth
The Prophets prophesied about God’s kingdom and Jesus preached about it. This shows how important the subject is to God. Jesus admonished us to pray for God’s kingdom and this should be the pattern of our prayer. After acknowledging God as your Father, you need to hallow His name. Thereafter, we must pray for the expansion of God’s kingdom on earth.
Prayer Points:
- Father, we praise you and hallow your name and we pray for the expansion of your kingdom on earth.
Matthew 6:9-10
“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
2. Father, we pray that the kingdom of the world will become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah.

7 Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this
5. Father, I pray that all the nations and peoples of every language will worship you. Lord I pray that every tongue will acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord. Father, I pray that your dominion will be an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and your kingdom will never be destroyed
Daniel 7:13-14
“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of
Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
11. Father, I pray that I will be violent enough to take the kingdom of heaven
Matthew 11:12
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.
12. Father, I pray all the people living in Canada will here the message of God’s kingdom and know that the kingdom of heaven is at hand
Matthew 10:7

Matthew 13:31-32
He presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
Mark 4:30-32
And He said, “How shall we picture the kingdom of God, or by what parable shall we present it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the soil, though it is smaller than all the seeds that are upon the soil, yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and forms large branches; so that the birds of the air can nest under its shade.”
18. Father, I pray that the message of God’s kingdom will begin to spread like leaven in Jesus’ name
