Praying For Unusual Blessings

Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 5th Edition, Day 6 - Praying For Unusual Blessings - Join us on Friday, November 5th, 2021 for the Night of Divine Encounter between 7pm to 10pm MST. Theme: The Siege Is Over

God Can Give You Unusual Blessings

God has the capacity to give you unusual blessings. The people of God in Samaria were languishing in poverty because of the siege, but God intervened and turned their situation around in just one day. The book of 2 Kings 7:1 says,  “But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.” Ultimately, the Word of God came to pass.

God Gave Abraham Unusual Blessings

Father Abraham was so blessed by God to the extent that he entertained three guests by killing a calf (Genesis 18:5-8). He was so rich that he had about 318 men under his roof that he was feeding on a daily basis (Genesis 14:14). Genesis 13: says, “Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.” After God called Abraham God made Him very rich. The same God can give you unusual blessings.

God Blessed Isaac With A Great Wealth

Isaac was also very wealthy. Genesis 26:12-13 says, “Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.” God has the capacity to give you unusual blessings. He can bless the work of your hands. If you plant and water, if God does not bring increase your effort will just be in vain. If you have been struggling with your finances in the past, I pray that the Lord will turn your situations around just like He did for Abraham and Isaac.

God Gave Jacob Unusual Blessings

Jacob was another man who was unusually blessed by God. He left his parents with just a rod when he went to Laban, but when he was coming back after twenty years, God had transformed his finances. Genesis 30:43 says, “In this way the man grew exceedingly prosperous and came to own large flocks, and female and male servants, and camels and donkeys.” God increased Jacob immensely.

Jacob also gave so many gifts to Esau when He met him after twenty years. Genesis 32:13-15 says, “13 Jacob stayed where he was for the night. Then he selected these gifts from his possessions to present to his brother, Esau: 14 200 female goats, 20 male goats, 200 ewes, 20 rams, 15 30 female camels with their young, 40 cows, 10 bulls, 20 female donkeys, and 10 male donkeys.” These gifts will give you an idea of how blessed Jacob was.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob can also be your God. If He gave them unusual blessings He can do the same for you.

Prayer Points

  1. Thank God for blessing us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Ephesians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

2. Pray that God will bless and multiply you greatly just like He blessed Jacob. Pray that God will bless you so much that you will be a great blessing to all the people around you

Genesis 32:13-15

13 Jacob stayed where he was for the night. Then he selected these gifts from his possessions to present to his brother, Esau: 14 200 female goats, 20 male goats, 200 ewes, 20 rams, 15 30 female camels with their young, 40 cows, 10 bulls, 20 female donkeys, and 10 male donkeys.”

3. Pray that God will put and end to all your struggle like he did for Jacob and you shall be mightily blessed.

Genesis 30:40-43

Jacob set apart the young of the flock by themselves, but made the rest face the streaked and dark-colored animals that belonged to Laban. Thus he made separate flocks for himself and did not put them with Laban’s animals. 41 Whenever the stronger females were in heat, Jacob would place the branches in the troughs in front of the animals so they would mate near the branches, 42 but if the animals were weak, he would not place them there. So the weak animals went to Laban and the strong ones to Jacob.

“In this way the man grew exceedingly prosperous and came to own large flocks, and female and male servants, and camels and donkeys.”

4. Pray that God will give you a twenty-four hours miracle and open a fountain of unusual blessings unto you in Jesus’ name.

2 Kings 7:1

“But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.”

5. Pray that God’s presence will be in your home, in your business, in your office and in your church. Pray that God shall blessed your household  tremendously as a result of His presence in Jesus’ name

2 Samuel 6:11

The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household.

6. Pray that God will give you an unusual blessing just like He did for the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-6. Pray that God will bless the little that you have in your hand and multiply it greatly.

2 Kings 4:1-6

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”

2 Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”

“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. 4 Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”

5 She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. 6 When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”

But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

7. Pray that God will bless you and you shall be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. Pray that your leaves will be evergreen and you shall be ever fruitful in Jesus’ name.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

8. Pray that the Lord will give you heaven’s dew and earth richness with abundance of grain and new wine. Pray that nations will serve you and people will bow to you in Jesus’ name

Genesis 27:28-29

May God give you heaven’s dew and earth’s richness— an abundance of grain and new wine. 29 May nations serve you and people bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.”

9. Pray that the Lord will give you a sworn blessing just like He did for Abraham. Pray that God will also bless your descendants and you shall be a joy of many generations in Jesus’ name.

Genesis 22:16-17

and said, “I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies

10. Pray that the Lord will bless you abundantly so that in all things at all times you will have all that you need. Pray that you will abound in every good work

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work

11. Pray that the Lord will constantly be your Shepherd and you will lack nothing. Pray that God will make you lie down in green pastures and lead you beside quiet waters. Talk to God to refresh your soul and guide you along the right paths for His name’s sake.

Psalm 23:1-3

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake

12. Pray that God will give you unusual blessings and you shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water. Pray that you will constantly yield your fruit in season, you will prosper in whatever you do, and your leaf will not wither.

Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers

13. Pray to God for unusual blessings like He did for Solomon. Pray that the Lord will give you wealth, possessions and honor in Jesus’ name

2 Chronicles 1:11-12

God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”

14. Pray that just like God blessed David, He will bless you mightily. Pray that  you will be rich and respected and lived to be an old man in Jesus’ name.

1 Chronicles 29:28

David was rich and respected and lived to be an old man. Then he died, and his son Solomon became king.

15. Pray that the Lord will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus
