Praying For Uncommon Miracles

Night of Divine Encounter (NODE) 5th Edition, Day 5 - Praying For Uncommon Miracles - Join us on Friday, November 5th, 2021 for the Night of Divine Encounter between 7pm to 10pm MST. Theme: The Siege Is Over

God Can Still Do Uncommon Miracles

God specializes in doing uncommon miracles. No one could have thought that ordinary sound could scare a multitude of trained soldiers who are well prepared for war. That was exactly what happened in Samaria when God spoke to Elisha, the man of God. Going through the scriptures we have seen several uncommon miracles and God is still more than willing to do this in our lives.

The Red Sea parted for the Israelites when they were trapped between the army of Pharaoh and the sea. That miracle was uncommon. The whole nation of Israel walked on a dry land because God parted the sea using an ordinary rod. Also, the manner at which God brought down the walls of Jericho was also uncommon. I am quite sure that before the inhabitants of Jericho, the Israelites would look like a fool. They were just going round the walls once every day for six days, yet nothing seemed to be happening. On the seventh day, they went round the city seven times, blew trumpets and shouted, then the wall of Jericho crumbled. That is an uncommon miracle.

How did the three Hebrews manage to walk freely inside the fire, yet the fire did not consume them? I am sure many will see this as unbelievable, but yet it is true. Can you explain how a widow pour oil into several empty jars and they were all filled up simply because God spoke through Elisha? Who can fathom how an ordinary water turned into wine? How could someone enter the lions’ den, yet came back alive? Can science explain how someone could walk on water without sinking? How can you explain the food (manna) that was raining down from heaven for about forty years in the wilderness for the Israelites? What kind of technology can make that happen? These are all uncommon miracles.

God can do uncommon miracles

God still specializes in doing uncommon miracles and if you can just believe in Him, you will be the next candidate for such miracles? I have personally prayed to God in the past and He fed me supernaturally and gave me a free accommodation for a year without me spending a dime.

There was a time I was face to face with two armed robbers and one of them pointed a gun at me and I shouted at the top of my voice, “Get out of my side” and they shivered and fled instantly. After they had left, I was shivering, wondering and imagining what could have happened to me. I was pondering on the fact that they could have shot at me. Later I remembered that who is in me, is greater than he who is in the world. I also realized that in the tribe where I come from, the lineage of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, when we roar, all other animals disappear.

Are you ready for an uncommon miracle? Then call unto God and He will meet you at the point of your need.

Prayer Points

  1. Thank God for His faithfulness towards you and for blessing you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places

Ephesians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:18

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

2. Father, do uncommon miracles in my life and I pray that I will move forward as you make a way for me where there seems to be no way.

Exodus 14:15-16

15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

3. Lord, perform uncommon miracles in my life and let the same power that stopped the sun and the moon be at work in my life. Whenever I decree anything I pray that it will stand. I put an end to every demonic activities in my life, in my home, in my career and in my ministry in Jesus’ name

Joshua 10:12-14

12 On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel:

“Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.”

13 So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar.

The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. 14 There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!

Psalm 121:6

the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

4. Lord, perform uncommon miracles in my life and bring down every walls of Jericho preventing me from entering my Canaan

Joshua 6:20

When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.

5. Father, do the spectacular in my life and let me begin to do what no man has done before in my ministry, in my career, in my business and in my nation. I receive the grace to walk on waters

Matthew 14:25-33

25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

6. Father, do the miraculous and the unusual in my life just like you did in the life of Mary. I pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will be at work in my life and He will start performing uncommon miracles.

Luke 1: 26-35

26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called  the Son of God.

7. Father, do the unusual in my ministry like you did in the life of Elijah. I pray that from now on, I will start operating at the realm of the supernatural in Jesus’ name.

2 Kings 1:10

Elijah answered the captain, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.

1 Kings 18:38

Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.

8. Father, perform uncommon miracles in my life and destroy all my enemies in an unusual way.

Numbers 26:9-10

8 The son of Pallu was Eliab, 9 and the sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram. The same Dathan and Abiram were the community officials who rebelled against Moses and Aaron and were among Korah’s followers when they rebelled against the Lord.

The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them along with Korah, whose followers died when the fire devoured the 250 men. And they served as a warning sign.

9. Lord, do the miraculous and the uncommon in my finances like you did in the life of the widow who was a wife of a prophet. Bless me supernaturally Lord and multiply greatly the little I have in my hand. Release your unusual blessings upon me Lord in Jesus’ name

2 Kings 4:1-5

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”

2 Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”

“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. 4 Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”

5 She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. 6 When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”

But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

10. Father, perform uncommon miracles in my life like you did in the life of Lazarus. I pray that just like you brought  Lazarus back to life, a man who was dead for four days and was stinking, you will also turn every hopeless situations in my life around for good in Jesus’ name

John 11:38-44

38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39 “Take away the stone,” he said.

“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”

40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

11. Father, I pray that you will start performing uncommon miracles through me just like you did in the life of Apostle Paul. I pray that my apron and my handkerchief will heal the sick, raise the dead and perform great signs and wonders in your name in Jesus’ name

Acts 19:11-12

God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.

12. Father, I pray that you will perform uncommon miracles in my life like you did at Cana of Galilee when you turned water into wine. I pray that God will take away my shame and increase me mightily in Jesus’ name. Lord, give me a new wine in Jesus’ name.

John 2:7-10

7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.

8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
