Thank God for He is Highly Exalted
Thank God for He is Highly Exalted
Today, we are going to thank God for He is highly exalted. When God finally delivered the children of Israel from Pharaoh, Moses and Miriam sang a song to God. They praised God for He is highly exalted. They thanked God for hurling both the horses of Pharaoh and his army into the sea. Truly, if not for God the Egyptians army would have annihilated the Israelites. Who could have thought that there could be a path on the Red Sea. This had never happened prior to this time. However, God delivered the Israelites through His mighty hands.
God has greatly honoured Jesus and given Him a name that is above all other names. We need to thank the Lord for paying the supreme price for our sins. Jesus gives us salvation, healing, deliverance, victory and all the things we could ever need. Jesus gave us His name as our major asset as a believer. In His name, we can heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead. If God has not profoundly honoured Jesus and given Him a name above every other name, how would demons tremble and bow before us today?
Reasons Why God Highly Exalted Jesus
There are so many reasons why God has highly exalted Jesus. Through Him, we have forgiveness of our sins. Through Him we have redemption. The name of the Lord is also a strong tower and and the Word of God guaranteed us safety through His name. Also, because God has highly glorified Jesus Christ, now we have access to the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that God will send the Holy Spirit the moment He goes to the Father. How would the Church have been able to grow rapidly if not for the Holy Spirit?
Psalm 57:5 (NIV) says, “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.” We need to thank God for His glory that is all over the earth. We need to highly exalt the name of God for His protection over us throughout the year. As we pray today, I pray that the Lord will accept our prayers and worship in Jesus’ name.
